Quinn is very knowledgeable on the matter but lacks the ability to effectively run a class. A week before the final was given we got out first grade posted which was clearly after the drop date. I was unhappy with my grade so I set up a phone meeting with him because as he says he will not respond to any e-mail. I would of rather driven to Macomb.

I loooove Dr. Quinn, he is a very fair professor. Come to class, pay attention, follow his guidelines, do all the assignments and you will do great. The lectures are LONG but very helpful + ASK QUESTIONS, he's willing to help any time. Honestly, I learned a lot from him. My favorite professor.

Instructional Design: No matter who you take this with, this class makes you work for it to pass. I personally liked Quinn a lot. DO EXACTLY what he says and you WILL pass. He provides SO many samples for each step as you go on. If you have any questions, ASK, and ask a lot because he is very helpful. Show up to class. Material heavy class but easy

Comment:

Dr. Quinn is an intense professor. The course was not very interesting, however, he helped you dig deeper in your thinking. He was very hands on. Lectures were boring. He debated with only two people out of the class instead of engaging everyone. By the end of the course there were only 8 students who remained. Only the strongest survives.

I took this class in the summer. It was great. Because we had a short semester, there was no time for procrastination. He gives you the template for assignments and requires you to fill it with your information. He always had time for questions and responded immediately to emails. He doesn't trick students and he flat out tells it like it is.

If you are a freeloader, this professor is not for you to take. Dr. Quinn is very detail oriented and expects his students to follow instructions to the dot. This is one of those classes I felt absolutely learning something I could use in my profession. Attend class, do the assignments as directed, and you will do just great. My favorite professor.

This professor has very unclear grading criteria, doesnt provide students with rubrics, is very hard to directly communicate with as he doesnt answer emails for many days and does not offer office hours. I am an honors college student with a 3.8 grade point average and this class was my most challenging because he makes it impossible to get an A.

Dr. Quinn is a great professor. He answered questions timely and provided meaningful feedback. Each week there was a quiz and small assignment that Ied to a culminating project. I enjoyed his class and the work we did around our instructional design. In fact, I plan to take another class that he lectures in the fall!

This professor should not teach online classes. It was difficult to understand what he wanted from the projects, but was not accessible via email. Had to ask questions through the Q&A forum, so other students could answer. However, other students are not giving me my grade. A frustrating class as a WHP major.

I really enjoyed this professor, you have to come to class and pay attention in class. Most of ppl in my class didn't come n then wondered why they did so bad. He lets you have a cheat sheet on the mid term and the exam. He expects you to participate and ask questions in class. He is willing to help his students if you have questions. Great Prof!

At first it is difficult to understand what he is looking for. Don't get discouraged and listen to his feedback. Material (Ethics) was not difficult but it was time consuming, due to intense writing. However, if you are looking to actually learn something, he will make you learn. Lots of reading and writing, however, not difficult.

After a very stressful semester and talking to him about my grade and letting me know that I will be passing, HE DID NOT PASS ME (2.6). I emailed him multiple times asking him to send me my grade thus far and he wouldn't. Instead of wasting my time I could of dropped the course and began another. Truly the most horrible experience thus far at OU.

At first he seemed like a good professor, but he is a snob. He will lose his temper and swear at you. If his poorly thought out instructions lead you to conclusions that he does not agree with, you will be penalized. Also, his lesson in "ethics" is that you will face dilemmas, but remember what happens when you violate HR policy; your career ends.

This is my second time taking a course with Prof. Quinn, he is a wonderful teacher. He has a dry sense of humor but I think he is very funny and has a lot of good things to offer. Beware he does tend to repeat himself to try to make sure everyone understands, this will drive you crazy at first. Long lectures but great class. 10/10

Quinn is very boring and he talked about the syllabus for 3 hours on the first day. Never expect to get out of class early and expect lots of paper to be handed out to you. He doesn't have a clear grading criteria at all and you will dread going to class every week. I would NOT recommend him for ethics at all.

Not a horrible, horrible professor, but he's pretty bad. He talks down on his students as if we aren't all adults. Dr. Quinn is a great professor, I really wish he was teaching HRD423. His lectures are long and your rarely get out of his class early, but he breaks down each assignments in great detail that it's impossible for one whose listening not to get full credit on assignments. There are quizzes and book is mandatory. You'll pass, no worries.

Dr. Quinn is a nice guy, but I didn't like him so much as a teacher. He took a while to respond to questions. Do not skip class because you'll miss something. He's very detailed with his grading so you have to be very specific or he will make you down. I didn't really use my book at all, but he demands you have it. I wouldn't take him again.

Dr. Quinn was so helpful, follow the template and instructions and you will be fine. He does give quizzes but the major part of your grade is the project. I wish he taught HRD423. I would definitely take him.
