Summer session everything crammed into 4 weeks. Tried to accommodate to us by not giving us much homework outside of class; lectures were a bit long and tedious, but any class that goes on for four hours would be; exams are pretty straight forward if you know the poems well & he's always willing to answer all questions; super sweet personality

Dr. Thomas is one of my favorite teachers! He is hilarious and makes class worthwhile and interesting. I learned a lot about a subject I don't normally care about. He is very kind and I appreciate he understands most were in his class for a GE. Only one midterm (essay and objective) and a final in the same format. TAKE THIS CLASS!

If you love Harry Potter, definitely take this seminar class. Thomas makes the class very interesting because he obviously loves the books himself! He has tons of information to share and is a genuinely nice man!

As much as a class on Harry Potter sounds stupid, it was one of the best classes I've had (and Prof Thomas made it so!) We read all of the books the first half of the semester, then discussed foreshadowing, origin of names, etc for the rest. Only one presentation on a character, and some essays for the midterm/final. TAKE IT IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!

BEST CLASS EVER to get rid of GE Eng Lit requirement! No papers, no assigned reading, just poems read in class. All you need to do is listen carefully in class and study the 1-pg poems for the 2 tests. Also a group presentation which is an easy A. EASY grading on open note essay part of tests, but for obj part of tests, know everything about poems.

If you go to class and take good notes, you don't need to read the book. He is extremely intelligent and can teach you a lot if you pay attention. I love him!

Go to all the lectures b/c he offers a large amount of credit for attendance. Try and stay awake.. The tests are off the handouts given at the beginning of lectures. Oh, and take the first quiz seriously! Many fail it. Thomas is a nice guy, if you're struggling, dont hesitate to visit him during his office hours. Good luck!

I respect him, he's INTERESTING, but I can see where people say boring. I had a hard time staying awake in class, not because HE is boring, but because his voice puts me to sleep (soothing, subdued, monotone). The content is good but HUM sux in gen..

Best prof at Pep. Have to study, but if you mess up on a test there are plenty of chances to make it up. Wonderful sense of humor, inteligent, nice, engaging and fun. He's not boring at all.

Really funny guy, but his class is sooo boring. No assignments except to read.. But sooo sooo boring.. If you want only two tests in a semester and can deal with a sleeper of a class, take class with him.. Again, he's great, but classes are boring

Great material and good grading scheme. Only one complaint: HE TALKS WAAAAAAY TOO FAST. I am a fast typist and brought my laptop to class...and it was still hard to take good notes.
