Makes math so simple and easy to understand. He's such a great teacher-- patient and willing to help you if you ask. He even gave me his personal number because I was having a lot of trouble at first. I ended up making an A.

A great guy, great teacher. He gives a quiz each class meet, but takes the best 15 grades you make of the semester. He doesn't take up homework, but it will help you do well on the tests and quizzes. Also, go to the math lab, they help a lot! Put in the effort and you will get an A.

I really like him as a person, but he gives horrible notes. You really need to have a good math background to really understand the stuff he teaches. I had a hard time and dropped the class because I didn't remember anything from high school. So if you're alright at math, he's good. If you suck at math no matter what, take Stephanie Kolitch. :)

I love this man. He was so sweet. He always was willing to help, and he would always explain something again if you didn't get it. I remember one day he stayed an hour out of his way to help 4 of us students to study for a final. He was so nice! Definitely take him :)

Prof. West is an awesome teacher. He does so many examples and notes, its almost impossible not to pass his class. He gives a quiz everyday, but only takes your best 15 at the end. He never checked hw BUT i recommend doing it- it will help w/ the quizzes and tests! If you are struggling make sure to ASK him for help or go to the math lab!

Mr. West is awesome. One of the greatest teachers i have ever had. I took Mr. West in high school for Math 140 and Math 160. He is very helpful and wants you to understand everything about the subject. He leaves it up to the student on how much they get out og the class. Recomend him for anyone for any class. Great teacher, Great man!

I haven't had Mr. West, but after i saw the diss about him i had to express my opinion. I had Mr. West in High School for 2 years( one was actually the dual credit math) and you won't find a better teacher. He gives everyone a chance to make an A it's up to the student. He challenges his students, but is very fair

STAY AWAY FROM THE MAN...I had him for math 140 and had to drop the class because he did not care at all that I had medicinal problems. Took it with Eskew for a night class got an A...TAKE ESKEW and still FAR AWAY FROM THIS MAN!!!! I could teach math better than him, test are exttremely hard!!!!!!!!
