Comment:
Her lectures aren't that helpful, but the discussion sections and the homework teach you everything you need to know. The tests are all multiple choice and aren't that hard. If you go over the discussion worksheets and do all of the homework you should be fine. She also gives extra credit for going to lecture sometimes.

Her tests are a lot harder than her examples in class. Lecture attendance isn't mandatory except for some extra credit (like 1 or 2 points). She reads off of the PowerPoint during lecture and I personally don't think that's helpful.

This class was very easy for me. I go to SI. However, I have already taken the class in high school. The tests are medium difficulty if it is material you know. If you don't know---buckle up buckaroo. She is very caring and respectful. Her lecture is not really teaching heavy. It's more of an overview. It might not be your cup of tea.

No reason to go to lecture besides occasional extra credit and possible test questions. I attended lecture every day and just did the online homework because I didn't learn anything from the professor. Attend SI, that's the best way to learn if you get this professor.

Excellent professor. I took this course two years ago and I found it an excellent graduate class. The course is a good review of nanomaterials, full of new research ideas!!! Don't hold you back from your own research. No exams, and the homeworks are reasonable.

Despite her rating, she is a very easy teacher. You will hate her examples, but her notes are very helpful. She will get PISSED if you leave class while she's talking. Again, ignore her rating and what people are saying. Her class is easy enough to do if you put just a little effort forward

This is the most horrible teacher I have ever had! She's confusing, and nothing she says in class ever makes sense. I passed the class because I read the book and attended SI sessions. If you have the option, do not take her!

She likes to get off topic a lot. Reads notes directly off of the powerpoints she hands out. Lecture is good to go to to reiterate the information and for a review. Occasionally she will give an answer away on one of her tests ( happened half dozen times.) Not good but not terriable as long as you also read the book and STUDY the notes.

By far the most boring lecture I've been in, its a pointless waste of my life, lecture. She is very good about curving grades however... and mastering chemistry sucks...

Lectures are absolutely useless. Pointless examples. Read the textbook and review the power points she posts online. Tests are relatively easy, except the final. It was random. Lab grades really help. Also, mastering chemistry was mandatory, which sucked. I don't reccoment going to lectures at all. Use the online notes.

This woman is horrible. Her lectures are pointless because she rambles on about information that isn't pertinent to your learning. Also, mastering chemistry is mandatory for the class and can really hurt your grade if you don't do the assignments. I got a C- in this class so i have to retake it and the lab even though my lab grade was a 100.

simply AWEFUL to liten to for an hour and a half lecture. Don't ask a question and address her as MS. Musfeldt. She is a DR and she "didn't spend 6 years to be called Ms" she will ignore your question and walk away. Mske friends in class to get help with homework. Lectures are pointless. multiple choice is a blessing

I really dreaded going to lecture and it was only twice a week. I think if I had my time to go over I would just have read the book. She wants to emphasize physical chemistry instead of general chemistry. The first two exams were not so bad, but the final exam was extremely hard and random. Most of the material on it was not even covered in class.

Musfeldt is terrible. You do not want to take her class. She uses pointless random examples that make no sense and she does not teach. Her tests are multiple choice but there's always an option for none of the above and she loves to make that the correct choice. AND SHE IS WAY TOO OBSESSED WITH COOKIES!!!

Don't go to lecture. The only reason I learned anything chemistry-related was my roommate (who had Camden) and because I read the textbook. Her tests are fairly easy. She curves quite a bit, so take her if you can deal with learning on your own. Oh, don't leave class if she runs over.. She'll push you; trust me on that one.

Clearly loves chemistry, but does not know how to teach it to the class. If no prior chem experience would not recommend. I thank God I took AP Chem in high school. Exams are all multiple choice though which makes it easier than other proffesors

She is horrible! She's rude and completely unclear in lecture. She does a horrible job. If I didn't read the book and teach myself, there would be no way I would pass this class. Do not take her.

This lady is absolutely the worst professor i have ever had. She is completely dumb and thinks she is hilarious. The first day in lecture you couldn't find a place to sit, now well over half the classroom does not attend lecture. No one ever knows what she is talking about. Oh and by the way this woman LOVES COOKIES! DO NOT TAKE HER NO MATTER WHAT!

She uses random examples, and loves talking about cookies. Her lectures very rarely have any information that is not on the powerpoint already. Read the power point from blackboard and read the textbook. Tests are fairly easy compared to other chem 120 tests though. Multiple choice helps.
