Though Cramer is obviously well versed in her field, I found her lectures to be completely boring and overall not very helpful. I wouldn't take this class unless you want to waste time listening to her go off on random tangents. She is totally passionate and educated in all that she lectures about, but I wouldn't recommend taking this class .

Easily my least favorite professor I've had. We had weekly reading out of the textbook and at least three usually lengthy articles, but never went over the concepts in lecture. During lecture, she would usually rant about nuclear weapons or other topics she found important which never related to the readings. Boring lectures. Do not take this class

The class is challenging because it's a lot of dense information to be a substantial intro course, but I don't think that's her fault. I took it in four weeks online and pulled an A-. She made it clear what would be on the final, so take good notes and study well.

Worst professor I ever came across. Apart from dense readings the slides are too long and have too much information. I asked for help on the quizzes and did a bit better on them, but didn't get the grade I wanted. I feel like I wasted my time and I really put effort into this class but I ended up going straight to the trash!

50% if your grade is based on chapter quizzes (closed book) with questions that are often unclear. 50% of your grade is based on a final or a research paper. You are completely limited to the topic, she will chose for you. Doesn't always get back to you. Obviously gets upset when one asked for clarification. 4 yrs at UO, worst experience by far.

This class was the most difficult of any class I have taken. Cramer assigns a LOT of very DENSE readings, and you won't pass the tests if you do not read them! That being said, you get a lot out of it if you try! Cramer's a very knowledgeable and respected Professor in her field and she's passionate about her work, which comes out in her lectures.

She knows a lot about what she teaches and is super passionate about it- theres not very much work and you can do well without reading the textbook. What sucks is that she rambles too much about her own agenda and goes on tangents.. towards the end of class she tries to yell super loud so we won't pack up our bags till the very end lol

She knows a lot, but is very biased. The class is ridiculously boring, and she focuses way too much on what she's really interested in. I thought this class would actually be interesting, but I am so bored and she doesn't try to draw you in at all. I hated this class so much. I'm so miserable.

She was new to teaching an online class this year and did not do well. She failed to respond to my emails and the mean on her final was 49% which she refused to curve, even though that is a reflection of her teaching. I would not recommend taking a class of hers.

Terrible online class. Teacher did absolutely nothing. The GTF does all the grading. Don't take this class unless you want to write a lot and take hard tests that are impossible to prepare for.

Took this class my senior year cuz I thought it would be easy, it was until the final. She gave us flash cards to study and practice quizzes and I knew everything she gave us well. I get to the final and the questions are so different and worded differently than any quiz and there were questions on things I had never seen. My graded dropped 7%

Cramer is very intelligent, inspirational, and animated. I enjoyed her lectures and teaching style. She started of each class with a current event and tied it to the material. 205 overall is VERY broad, hard to follow. Try to pay attention. You can do well if you try. There's a ton of readings, but I pulled an A without ever opening the textbook.

She's an understanding professor. If your having issues outside of school she'll work with you; if you missed an assignment. She is a busy person, so if you visit her office hours do your best not to make her feel like your wasting her time with you.

Brilliant professor that covers (what I think at least) incredibly interesting topics. Tests are hard, and this is not a case of lecture just reviewing the readings. You need to look at them and understand the key points to know what's going on Put in the work, and you might learn more from Cramer than any other Polisci Prof at the UO.

Professor Cramer is one of the smartest individuals I've ever talked to, buer lectures after the midterm become horribly scattered and insufficient. Her powerpoints often are just questions so you need to be in class to get the information. I did a lot of learning on my own as she covers a massive amount very quickly.

Very passionate, tons of knowledge, seems to be the most qualified PS instructor at UO in regards to security studies. Has some great, nearly breathless rants. On the other hand she has a bit of a habit of covering an incredibly broad spectrum of topics in a short amount of time. Also, final exams are very difficult, SAT-esque time crunches.

Also took 205 with her. Cramer has her quirks but she's also knowledgeable and available for help. Do the readings and cite them often for the midterms. Her intro classes are designed to weed out freshmen who aren't serious about PS. She also has a policy against giving higher than 95, so expect to put in effort for an A. Rewarding class.

Cramer is very intelligent, but she dumbs down her lectures. As a result lecture was boring, and in retrospect, they were completely unnecessary.
