I've taken several classes with Professor Knox-Voina (JKV); this woman is amazing. She is hilarious and knowledgeable about Russia (language, people, literature, etc.) and Central Asia countries. I always look forward to going to her class. She's unbelievably helpful and wants to see her students succeed. It's too bad she only has a semester left.

I don't know what happened in the last few years, but now she is very abrasive and challenging. She expects a faster pace than what is usually acceptable for an into class and there is a lot of work involved. Don't take Russian unless you have a vested interest in it!

Class is a blast.. Professor Knox is absolutely crazy and hilarious. I leave every class laughing and with rediculous new stories to tell my friends, but at the same time I learn a ton. Everyone should take a class with her before they graduate.

She's the nicest lady I've ever met. There's nothing she wants more than to give all her students good grades. As long as you put in half of an effort she'll give you a good grade. She's a great teacher and she's a really nice lady and very helpful.

Awesome! she's really nice and really helpful and she really wants kids to learn russian. also, the russian department is pretty desperate for students so she's a pretty easy grader. homework isn't hard, class is a blast. highly recommended!

Wonderful, very interesting woman.. very funny and makes class fun. Like someone else said, she is very good at teaching the language, but in the lit classes it can become a bit tedious- but she is probably the best language teacher I've ever had!
