Have an opinion and know how to defend it. Janice is a great prof but if you're not thinking "why do I believe this" she'll challenge you. She has an interesting outlook, cares about her students and is very down to earth.

She lets everyone have a voice in her class if they are willing to speak up. Willing to take time and talk with you if you dont understand a concept. Every class is a discussion and we always get off topic.. but find some way of drawing it back to the point. test are MC, not too hard but make sure you study. Awesome Prof. One of the best!

This was my first course with this prof, 1st nations, she opened my eyes to many things I didn't see before, she is a character, but in a nice way. If you're going to take soci, take it with her. I think she's one of the few that cares about her students.

Funny and amazing prof, hits the nail right on the head with many issues. Enjoys a good debate and for some reason likes seeing others get wound-up in a debate. The one downside though, is that there should be an essay or two in the course and not all multiple choice tests.
