Comment:
Jannett is a fine teacher. Two regular exams and a chance to not take the final. Online homework is 10x more technical than anything in class. She is very broad and asks questions that only she could know the answer. She wants to provoke thought, so if you want to do well, pretend you're absorbing it. Hope there's one or two kids that participate.

This teacher is extremely knowledgeable about her area of expertise, but is as exciting as watching paint dry. She has you flip back and forth in your book during class, and is fairly anti-technology, lacking even a power-point to focus the class. During test days, class has three times the people, because her lectures are boring.

She's very confusing at times and constantly asks for class participation, even though none was given. If you go to class, take the occasional note, do the learnsmart online, and go to the class before the quizexam, you'll be fine. She only has 5 graded assignments and curves. With that being said, I got a 62.5 on the first quiz and got an A.

Her class isn't taught like most ECO or business classes as it's not just straight lecture. She pushes for more of a discussion-based class. It's not easy, but if you work hard enough and think about the bigger picture you can do well.

i am truly sorry for anyone who has to take this teacher. i would rather undercut my credit hours than take another class with this crazy lady. even the people that got A's dont like her. (of which theres like two in the entire class) she really does just walk in and start pacing while rambling about god knows what then unfairly grades her tests!

If this "professor" wasn't tenured, she would have been thrown out awhile ago. She has no regard for students and spends class time pacing back and fourth petting her hair. She laughs in students faces if they ask "insignificant questions." Avoid at all costs. This woman needs to quit BU!!!

International Trade...it was an interesting class. Need to go to class and take good notes. If you typically do well, you will, if not, you won't. It's not particularly hard or easy. I thought she did a good job using examples and making it clear.

Would not recommend this professor. She says what she teaches in class pertains to the exams, which is not true in the least. She almost blatantly will tell students she is smarter than most people. Also, she tends to degrade students, even when they are coming to her for help. Majority of the class is not getting over a C.

She really doesn't teach anything thats on the test. Its all from the book. Its really pointless attending class. I fall asleep half the time and its at 11. I do not rec. this teacher to anybody who actually thinks they may have an interest in economics

I thought that an introductory class would be challenging but still comprehensible. Not. She talks in circles and expects us to have an understanding of things we have never heard of. If I hear another person say something is "falling down obvious" ever again I might just kill them. I go to class and still have no idea what is going on.

Her lectures have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the text book curriculum (don't even waste money buying the book). She rambles on and on in a very abstract and obtuse way, and then expects you to infer what economic principle she was trying to explain. Nothing in this class is straightforward. I HATE THIS TEACHER WITH ALL MY HEART.

If you are looking for a clear cut lecture class with notes on the board, don't take her. I went into her office hours and she wasn't particularly helpful. If you are interested in econ this class will probably be easy for you.

Very intelligent lady, very bad teacher. She's smart but can not organize a cohesive class. No syllabus. 1 month before end of sem. we've covered 4 chapters out of our 24 chapter book. Teaches broad ideas and tests your ability to write fictional "stories" showing economic concepts, however does not actually teach substantive information/details

Class Is actually interesting. Doesn't bore you with notes. Anyone that thinks this class is hard probably doesn't go to class or read the book. If you do both of those the class is cake. She pratically spells out what is on the test for you in class. Very good teacher.

I got excited becuse she lets you drop a test, even the final! It turns out im going to have to take the final though because my grade is going to need to! Quizes and Tests are impossible. She puts the smallest details on the test. Check the study files and study FOREVER. Do not take this teacher if you can avoid her. Both ECO 222 teachers suck

This class is so hard. I couldn't believe it when I got my first quiz back. Her quizes and tests are all fill in the blank, short essay, and definition (she gives you a work and you write the def. word for word or else you get points taken off). Try to avoid her if at all possible!!

WHOA...!!! this woman is crazy. not that hard...didn't try at all and got away with a C. best thing about her is she lets you drop a whole test, including the final if you want. A or a B would be possible if you can put up with her many many strange quirk, and you actually try in a very boring class
