Grade based off of 3 tests only--final not cumulative. 75% is 3 essay questions, rest of 25% is MC (DIRECTLY BASED OFF TEXTBOOK). Very vague when telling you what will be on the test so you have to study EVERYTHING. Strongly suggest showing up to class bc slides aren't detailed. He's really nice & has interesting stories to tell in lecture though

His lecture's make no sense, 75% of his exams are essay questions and he is very vague on what he wants as a response or how to construct an A response. He is very unaccessible since he doesn't have an office. Everyone cheats on the exam. Did ok in the class but just think Zimmerman is an annoying old man overall.

Dr. Zimmerman is a great professor and makes Physiology interesting. The exams consist of 25-27 multiple questions and usually 3-4 essay questions. The essay questions are worth 3/4 of the exam grade so make sure to understand the material! Overall, the class was not too difficult. It is easy to do well in this class.

Loved this prof, honestly think he's the best bio prof at stj. his lectures are always so fascinating and understandable. He uses stories that are relevant to topics and make everything more understandable. exams are ~33 mc and choice of 3/5 essay q. ESSAY Q ARE VERY IMPORTANT DO WELL ON THOSE, study the corresponding textbook chapters.

His lectures were really interesting and he uses a lot of real-life examples to keep you awake. I didn't think his tests were that hard compared to others in the department. He was pretty rude to people who asked questions he thought were "dumb" or whatever, but generally super nice.

Took him for BIO 3000, PAY ATTENTION in class! and keep up with your reading because exams are online and he doesn't make it up. I'm currently taking him for Physiology, you learn ALOT. Exams for Physio is multiple choice and essays, which counts for most of the exams. Essays aren't hard, but its based on his examples during lecture. Funny guy.

his class is tough cause his exams are have all essay questions...this is what i regret not doing that you should: record his lectures, never miss class, and keep up with the readings...i read my bio 3000 textbook the night before each exam and missed 95% of the semester, with a 77 overall average he gave me a B-.

He is a really nice guy. The powerpoints are simple so read the book. Know the book and you will get an A. Not really sympathtic towards students. He is so busy its hard to see him during office hours. There is always a line waiting for him.

He's not that bad. His lectures are much more simplified than the txbook which can screw you because he holds you responsible for both. Tests are essay questions which can be answered easily if you know what is going on both in class and text!

His lectures are awesome, very interesting. Somewhat intimidating and sarcastic. As far as tests go, all those little examples about animals and vairous things he presents WILL be questions on his tests so make sure you understand them. Record lectures & write them word for word & study them.

He is very good at teaching and gives interesting examples to help understand concepts. However, you MUST read the textbook and study in detail for his exams because they are all written and can be tricky. Do not go on tangents, just get to the point on his exams...he dislikes fluff. Got an A-.
