If you can't take the heat, get out of the fire. Unlike some instructors, Jean tells it like it is (even if it's crap). Take everything she says into consideration. If you think she's hard, just wait until you see the editors in the real world.

Jean is the BEST teacher I have EVER had. She's a tough old bird, (yes, she has made students cry) but she really cares not only in the academic sense, but personally as well. Respect her she is your greatest ally & will always tell u the truth. If u don't want truth, don't ask for her opinion!

Jean Rocks! She likes you if you try and don't whine. She has little time for people who dont come to class serious to learn. Was helpful and supportive to all that put forth effort

Doesn't seem to enjoy teaching. She's a very hard marker and doesn't listen to students when they ask for help. She doesn't explain what she expects until after the assignment is given back. Has been known to reduce students to tears.

Very blunt and to the point, however is very cold and can be downright unfriendly to some students. Prefers to find things wrong with assignments rather than what is right, very negative. Assignments are very clear and drawn out well.
