Comment:

Kulick's ability to not derail the class material is so petty that if he were to spot a fly in the classroom he would stop the lecture, stare at it and then talk about it for 10 minutes. The book is a MUST since the slides he goes through, for the most part, only have figures that are already in the book.

This guy brings up the most random topics during class. I feel as though I don't learn anything useful in his class. There are also psychotic tendencies that are encouraged by his conversations. Interesting fellow.

This professor will be why UAH Loses their ABET accreditation. He constantly talks about things contradictory to standard practices in industry and clearly has no idea what actually happens with Modern Software systems. He will say one thing, and do a complete opposite (Including what is on the tests) and is terrible to talk to outside of class.

Kulick provided no direction for the class project. Probably one of the worst classes I have ever taken. Actually, no scratch that the worst class I have ever taken. I didn't learn anything except Android tablets can't connect to Wifi. I would rather kill myself by stabbing myself repeatedly with a wet noodle than take Kulick again.

Back up your computer. Back up your computer. Back up your computer. Met with over half the class to study before the midterm and we left after 15 mins because no one knew what to study. Don't: Go to class Listen to a word he says Do: Find an old exam. (Same test with same errors) Kulick is the worst professor at UAH.

I'd say avoid at all costs, but CPE students are forced to take him at least once. You'll get one assignment for the semester. You'll work 30hr a week on it. You'll present your progress to him and he'll just sit there stroking his beard. He will not teach anything. The only thing you'll learn in the class is that Kulick should not be there.

Dr. Kulick's philosophy on teaching is to "leave you out in the woods, then come back and see how you did". What this translates to, is a class that is easy to get a good grade in, but is extremely stressful.

438 is a very good class. Kulick has the most practical teaching methods in the program. He is always around to help, and makes special time every week to be with each group to help with projects. The main focus of the class is on projects. The class doesn't correspond to the lab though.

Software Studio was a good class that takes you through the entire software process. Only complaints, no syllabus, fuzzy on when some things were due and just how important it was to have a good thought out Rough Order of Magnitude which is import. in end

I was not bored in this class, I was struggling to get everything down in notes. He can be difficult to follow and his tests are about 50% reflective of the material discussed, 50% random. You will learn a great deal in his class, though.

He places questions on the test that have never been discussed in class or even in the book. His lectures stray from the subject, and are very hard to follow. This is because he mumbles when he speaks. I would avoid him like the plague.

None of his tests EVER reflect the material in the lectures, homework, or book. Heck ANY book for that matter. His lectures are very hard to follow and will put you to sleep in seconds. His handwriting leaves something to be desired. Avoid if possible.

Wonderful professor. He is very hard make no mistake about it but his classes are one of the best in the school learning-wise. He tries to get the best out of each student. He is very much available if you want to talk to him. But he is HARD!!!
