Professor Schank is super helpful and very sweet. He wants to help you learn and if you are having any troubles in the class he is willing to move due dates around and will help you out. He really is a great professor. His lectures can get a little boring, but he is a very nice guy and really wants you to learn. Group quizzes and projects.

If you're a CS major, you'll be paired with 1 or 2 psych students for the projects. So you'll be doing literally everything, because this class doesn't really teach you to program. You won't learn anything besides a super niche Java graphics library called MASON, and it's honestly pretty boring. Professor Schank seems cool, but not for this class.

Schank is not the most exciting lecturer, but the material he presents is actually really interesting and tied together nicely. Unlike a lot of psych professors who make you memorize slides, I feel Schank really tries to make you think about development differently. I don't enjoy the lab portion but his midterms are fairly easy

This is a very rewarding class. The lectures and reading can be a little tough, but you learn a lot from the course. Professor Schank is incredibly helpful, he's always open to answering questions and having discussions in class. The lab portion was amazing! One big group paper and a group project. They are so interesting and important experiences.

Loved this class! Am a Psych BA major so I found the material challenging (received a C on first midterm) but got A's on everything else and pulled off an A! Do the reading questions, go to lecture and study few days before midterms. Lab quizzes/report can be hard, that part depends on the TA. Recommend if you're willing to work!

Prof. Schank is great. He provides notes to follow along in lecture, is clear, and answers questions thoroughly. You MUST go to lecture, do the readings, and answer the questions in order to get an A. Extra credit is also offered if you submit exam questions and are in lecture during "Double" attendance days. Not an easy A, you better work for it.

Class not too difficult, provides reading questions before exam so just answer those and youll be prepared. Lecture was really unorganized and boring to follow. Didnt learn much in the lab, and the group paper was a headache. Visiting the pigs was cool though. Not very interesting class and lab was time consuming, but easy A. Prof was nice.

One of my favorite teachers! Just do the reading topics and go to lecture! He's super nice and really easy to talk to. Plus, he gives sample midterms that help a lot, so getting a good grade isn't too difficult. He also provides the textbook to save students money on buying a textbook! I recommend this class!

Attendance is mandatory5% of ur grade but U could sleep through it easy as long as U dont miss the sign-in sheet. All lecture is on the website w/youtube clips for exam content. Exams are multiple choice& follow the studyguide 4 what 2 look 4 in the readings which are ALL contained in exam questions. Lab paper MUST include ALL list details, gotta A

Professor Schank tries his best for students to learn. Exams weren't too hard if you go to lecture and office hours if you dont understand something. Plus he curves at the end.

Dr. Schank is nice, knowledgeable, and approachable. He really wants students to do well. 3 midterms, 1 optional final. Visiting the swine barn was also a smelly experience. :)

He is awesome. Very clear and a master of the subject. The class is not too hard but the lab takes little more time(reports and a project). Would like to take him again.

Very easy. Go to lectures & do study guide, & read lectures, you will get an A. 3 midterms & optional final. Lab was easy. Nice TA. No textbook b/c it's online. One of the chillest class and easiest I've taken in psychology. HIGHLY RECOMMEND even if it's at 8am in the morning with lab.
