Professor Scott really cares about his job and his students. He makes class worth sitting through. He is also a very tough grader, but does give you the chance for him to look at the rough draft version. Be ready to read and get the textbook!

Mr. Scott was definitely one of the better English instructors I've had. He was generally a kind person that was willing to help with anything, even stuff that wasn't for his class. He allowed for a good degree of flexibility when it came to choosing essay topics, too. Make sure you take notes so you're ready for those quizzes.

Mr. Scott is a nice guy, but if you dont understand his type of humor it can come across as rude. We took notes almost every time we had class, and then have a pop quiz over the notes or a reading assignment, which werent to hard. Some days are dedicated to working on your paper in class. He is a tough grader, and attendence does matter.

NO NO NO NO.. English was my best subject in high school and I can barely make a B in his class and on my essays now. He is a SUPER tough grader, he looks for every tiny mistake and takes 10+ points. I find it impossible to get an A.. At first I thought he was going to be an awesome teacher but half way through I wished I did not take his class.

I made A's in high school, and English is my best subject, but I think it's impossible to make an A in Professor Scott's class. I even take my essays to him for him to look over and I make corrections and I still end up losing 15 points. Nice guy, tells funny jokes and cares about his students. Tough grader though. You will fail if you skip.

He will mark ALL over your PAPER, you worked so hard on, even if it has no mistakes. Even if you have good paper. If a period has a slither of space he will mark a BIG X on it. He is more nice to good-looking white skinny girls. If your overweight & black , he will be harder on you. He gives pop quizzes, make sure you have your notes.

Mr. Scott was a decent teacher his grading was very off. I'm a A+ student and my papers should've been low A papers at the worst. I ended up getting a C and three B's on them. I took the papers to other professors and they said they were good and I would've got A's if I was in there class. He cannot grade fairly or good. Overall very disappointed.

Mr. Scott is a great English teacher. Even though he is a tough grader on the papers, he is there to help you. You can take a rough draft to him as many times as you would like and he read it and give you all the corrections. He does give quizzes a lot but they are open book and pretty easy. He reviews the material before handing the quiz out.

If you need help all you have to do is open your mouth and ask for it. It is not an easy A because he wants you to have an understanding in English. He give corny jokes which lightens the mood in the morning. Mr. Scott is AMAZING! He really gets to know all of his students. He jokes around and makes class fun. The quizzes you take in class are easy 100s he lets you use your notes and book. Gives you plenty of time for papers, you can take your paper to him as many times as you want and he will proof read it for you. Always willing to help his students.

Mr. Scott is AMAZING! By far the best English teacher I have ever had. I am taking him again for 1302. He is very clear and helpful and does not load you with too much work. Gives you a week + for papers. I recommend him to everyone. Lets you use your book on quizzes and is open to meeting with you if you need help outside of the class.

He is a hard grader and expects perfection, but he proof reads anything you want him to as many times as you want him to so there is no reason not to have good papers. The class isn't bad if you engage in the lectures and discussions about readings and do the assignments. If you do not try though do not expect help or a good grade.

VERY helpful! I SUCK in English and still do great. 10 days to do each paper. GO IN FOR HIM TO CHECK YOUR PAPER!!!! If you have him check your paper you will make an A on it, otherwise good luck. I took him for 1301 and am in 1302 with him now. No one can beat him as an English teacher. He is nice. You will use LBH for all his classes.

He is a great teacher! Very helpful and tries to make the classroom a fun environment. He does give you plenty to write, but it is an English class after all. If you put in the time to go get your paper edited you will get a good grade. He is there to help you and also gives great advice.I took him for English 1301 ,1302.

GREAT TEACHER!!! I am taking him again for 1302. He is very clear about every assignment. He gives about two weeks per paper and plenty of time to edit to make a better grade. Some pop quiz's(very easy), so it's best to be in class EVERYDAY!
