Professor Davis seems like a caring guy but he really is a hard teacher. Will make extremely difficult tests and offers little to no extra credit even though it was promised at the beginning of the semester. If you are pre-law use his internship program!!

Great and knowledgeable prof. Make sure to listen to the lectures. They are literally what is on the test. If you follow the lectures and pay attention to the legal wording you should can an A on all the tests. He doesn't give feedback on the paper but as long as you are following the course and cases you should be fine. Also do the discussions!

Very good and very smart professor. You have to work and read the book, take notes on his online lectures and you will be solid. Be careful not to miss the blogs for the online portion, I did, and got an 86 on the first test. Also be aware that you will have to get to know other classmates, he doesn't email you back in a timely manner.

This course takes on very controversial topics and Prof. Davis is extremely open minded. He plays devil's advocate on these issues so some students mistake his questions for his beliefs. I have a very conservative political stance on national security issues and expressed my views in my paper and blog post. I received A's on both assignments.

I took this class because the name sounded interesting, but I am not a PoliSci major/minor. The content turned out to be a lot more dry and difficult than I expected, and there were long readings and few assignments--including open note quizzes, but the prof was very understanding about it, especially towards non-majors/minors.

I really enjoyed the subject matter of this course, however, do not expect to do well or be respected unless you adopt his views. Also, if you are in a group project and your partner drops the class, expect to do the whole thing on your own. His quizzes are open-note, but he is definitely trying to trick you, and again, you need to adopt his views.
