Comment:

I took his last course back in 07 which was titled American Imperialism. Go figure. On top of that I was a active duty military at the time and he seemed to have it out for me at the beginning of the semester. His rhetoric was boring and at times offensive, especially toward the military. And yes he wouldn't shut up about Nixon. Glad he retired..

I took his class expecting to hear about several different topics but instead was given a History of evil Nixon and how conservatives are evil. Prof. Kimball needs to retire already.

He's an arrogant jerk who blames everything on Nixon. LBJ? JFK? McNamara? Hello. he also personally attacks anyone who sticks up for Nixon for anything (even the environment). Basically, the entire class is about how much he hates Nixon and why Abbie Hoffman and Ho Chi Minh are the real heroes of the Vietnam War. Also protested Bush on campus

Boring lectures? Pffttt. I thoroughly enjoyed his class! Very knowledgeable man, interesting lectures. Yes, he's a liberal--deal with it. (Happily, I'm not alone on the conservative Oxford campus.)

Unbelievable author. His Vietnam books are very well written. However, a horrible lecturer. Probably the most BORING Prof Ive ever had. Hes a nice man and fair grader, though. All his tests were take home and thankfully you watch a lot of videos.
