Could not speaker higher of this professor. Extremely interesting and engaging, every lecture is enjoyable and the readings she assigns are interesting too. She gives you plenty of opportunity to get a good grade and is very fair (midterm was hard but if you studied you did well). Would highly recommend!

Exceptional professor! She is passionate about the material and approaches it from all angles. This was an overview course, so details were in short supply, but the readings (which she expects you to do and tests on them) fill in most of the blanks quite nicely. She loves unconventional historical documents, like diaries, film, and novels.

This is the worst proff I have had at Carleton. She read directly from the text book and I decided not to go to class. I went to 3 of the 24 class and read the book for the exam and ended up with a -A in the class. I pay good money to get taught, not learn through reading books
