Missed more than 3 weeks of class. The ComS department had to come in and give students the option to retake exams for a better final grade - - this alone should give you some idea how bad the semester was. Looks like she's teaching a 400-level this fall *rolls eyes*

She missed 3 weeks of class then gave us an assignment over dead week so she's pretty much the worst teacher I've had. Explained things fairly well but her online HW were harder than the tests. Taught the class so badly that the department stepped in and let students make up homework after the term had ended.

When we had lecture (which for three weeks we didn't), she was decent at explaining things. However, she never had our homeworks graded in a timely fashion and tests were rediculously hard.

Not the most interesting professor in the world, but her lectures are, for the most part, easy to understand and to the point. She's also quite helpful during office hours and in online discussions. The grading system is a bit... whacked, for lack of a better term... but I don't believe that's directly under her control.

The grading methodology is hard to understand, but opportunities exist for re-grades, take advantage of them if you got ripped off on an exam grade. The projects are fun and will let you get your hands dirty with the subject. The teacher is willing to answer even the most inane questions with a straight face, but her time management needs work.

Class was run horribly, but better than 227. First homework was rewritten several times. 3 people finished the first test, resulting in an average of 50%. Examples given in class often wouldn't compile. She tries to be nice, but can't overcome her own sloppiness.

I had hear for 228 and she's a nice person but she doesn't know what's going on with the HW and don't use what she teaches about generic arrays because it will crash your programs. She's better than some but she's not good either.

I took this course in the fall 2005 and lectures were bleh. She was clear in speaking but not always the most helpful. The way the course is run and the way they grade definitly needs to be looked into. It's rather ridiculous.

Took this class with her back when it was C++. Overly long homework (though well defined) and extremely hard tests. Class should have been 6 credits with the work I put into it. Maybe she's better now though.

Com Sci 228 was unnecessarily time consuming exercise with her at the helm; her final was material unrelated to programming (or the course) and she was unduly bossy in making people stop precisely at time. If I want to take an extra minute, its my money. A hack and an unnecessary waste of time.

She was actually a pretty good teacher, and the homeworks were always fairly easy and very well prepared(entirely different from Owen's 227).
