If you are an international student, he will be hard. You take daily reading/grammar quizzes.We only wrote 2 essays in class+the final which was an essay as well.He is generous on final grades, don't get too discouraged if you bomb a few quizzes. He will give you "the best grade he can without lying." Easy to get a B, a bit harder to get an A

I truly liked this teacher. He is very entertaining and knows his stuff. He has a genuine caring for his students. Grammer Quizes daily, which were fine. He is a hard grader but fair. I got an A in his class and am now attending ENG1A with him.

He truly does care about his students. He wants to know about you and why you are taking his class. He can definately prepare you for future English classes. He has daily quizzes. I found them easy because he went over the material the day before and it was all in the book. Overall, I would take him I again for an English class.

He is very passive aggressive and knows how to get under students skin. He'll says things that puts students down and I don't even think he realizes it. Quizes are daily and he tries to be funny.

Daily quizzes and 4 or 5 essays. Covers A LOT of grammar, which is good if you need to brush up (like most of us). Tough grader on papers, but surprisingly generous on final grade. I was surprised when most got B's in the class (I expected most to get C or lower). It's hard to an A. I think he curves his grades. Good teacher overall.

He is actually one of the most awful teachers I've ever had. I can't understand how anyone would like him. Half of the class dropped it because of him. He can make a good impression at first, but beware. He is extremely unfair to students who have potential for the future. He gave me a C+ on a quiz that I got 82% on. He is incompatent!

AWESOME guy! He makes fun of himself a lot and lets us out very early. Stupid quizzes everyday which kinda brings down your grade, but only 3 papers to write. If you're just taking this class to get this over with, take him! But it's a little hard to get an A in this class. But you'll pass.
