Classes are kind of boring, but she outlines what is important. Her slides make good outlines for the midterm and exam. Ask for help, and you will get it! If I didn't miss a few classes in the final weeks I would've gotten an easy A.

The class can indeed be boring but it's easy. Marks papers fairly. Participation mark by one class a week giving out a 2 sentence (max) response to give in at the end of class. If you're someone who doesn't like economics I recommend this course, it's all about the labour market. If you read the powerpoint slides you're golden.

Very boring class. 10% is participation so have to go to class. Midterm and final are easy just some easy multiple choice, SA and easy essay. Don't have to do too much to do well but it is the most boring class I've ever had. Also has nothing to do with economics so if you don't like econ its a good class for you to take as the econ credit.

Dr. MacDonald is a good prof! Yes lectures can get a little boring but the course is not hard! She is very passionate about what she teaches and willing to help if you ever have any questions. Tests aren't hard if you review power points and read over the text book! She marks the term paper very fairly!Very sweet lady! Would recommend this course.

Yes, lectures are super boring. but you can still get an awesome mark without attending. For midterms and tests just review power points and textbook and you will be good to go. Really cute professor and obviously loves what she teaches. Term paper was marked very fair. Great Prof, recommend the course!! -- someone who hates economics --

She is the most boring individual I have ever met. The class is easy, I got an A without attending class much or buying the book. I wanted to kill myself every time I went to one of her lectures. She just goes over slides and mumbles about graphs

Took this class back in my first year in 04. Was the first and last economics class I ever took. The prof is horrible perhaps the worst I've had in my 4yrs. She couldn't teach at all. She had trouble understanding her own example slides. Her exams were extremly difficult.I managed to pass only because of the bonus assignment.Got a C- worst mark eve

HR Economics. Poorly organized and it showed, every week. Lectures gave little insight into any relevant topics...this was not a 300-level course even though I received a 300 level credit. Slow on giving graded materials and feedback to students, rambles on too much about too little content.

easy class! material isn't too bad, but lectures can get boring. it isnt hard to get a good grade in this course if you just study the slides before the tests. she is very helpful during office hours and tries to help students find material for their papers. overall good prof!

Attend class and ask questions if you don't understand something. Review your class notes and the book for the tests and you're guranteed a good mark with Martha. She doesn't expect the world, but she does expect you to know the basics concepts. I'd recommend this class to everyone.

Her women and the economy class is not easy only because she expects something from her students - which, considering that you need to be second or third year, isn't too much. do the readings and be willing to talk. She's a great prof, really knows her stuff and is willing to help her students get a good mark.
