Comment:
Dr. Josefson is one of the best professors at BC. He is smart, tough, and helpful when you approach him one-on-one. Like others have noticed, he can be a smart alek at times, but underneath his rough demeanor he truly cares about his students. Although I completely agree with his progressive, neo-Marxist political philosophy, I recommend Dr. Jo.

Dr. J is comical, but beware of his rants, swearing, and sarcasm! Had PDP 350 with him! In less you like to read pointless literature and write meaningless papers which are impossible to get A's on in less you visit him 8 times, look elsewhere!

I had him for transfer PDP. It was a pretty challenging class, as well as confusing and it was hard to tie everything together. Basically everyone in the class hated it. But he's probably better for political science.

Brilliant professor. Might be the smartest at BC. Some of the most interesting lectures I have ever experienced. Very sarcastic, has a great, dry sense of humor. His class is about the only one I can remember actually enjoying the lectures. Excellent teacher.

Very helpful lectures. Not many assignments other than papers, which you can write over and over again to get a higher grade. Mid-term takes alot of work, not sure about the final yet i take it this week.

You won't regret taking his class. Lectures are entertaining beyond belief. May be a bit harsh, but deep (deep) down he is nice and helpful. Will let you do assignments over and over again until you get an A. So anybody can do well in his classes.

Very smart, explains things well. His papers are a lot of work, and you have to follow his guidelines very closely. Big ego, but very funny. He says whatever is on his mind,

You'll learn your material. Be prepared to filter a liberal bias and a Napolean complex. Not afraid to be offensive... take that as a plus or minus. Cocky.

His class was interesting but the classes dragged on and on. Very liberal thought Republican ideas were idiotic. Not a lot of work until it came to the papers. Midterm and Final require a LOT of work though. Not very organized in his lectures and could be on the verge of smart aleck.

One of the most engaging and interesting professors here on campus. He actually TEACHES you, and refrains from just spitting out facts all day long. I've tried to take one of his classes as often as possible because I hope to learn as much as I can from him.

Awesome course with a great professor! While my politics ran directly counter to his, the debate was fantastic. Only those students scared to support their views are threatened by him.
