He can't explain math stuff at all, and doesn't do a good job of explaining why the economic theory is as it is.

pretty unclear, has difficulty thinking outside of economics. Not a particularly helpful prof. He tries really hard, but he is still having a lot of difficulty with figuring out what students are catching onto.

Jim is really helpful one on one, but he tends to get a little flustered in front of the class. He makes intro econ exciting even if only because he gets chalk all over himself when he writes on the board, and often does not do his arithmetic correctly and gets confused.

As has been mentioned, he's a very nervous fellow, and he often gets mixed up and confused while teaching. But he's very eager to help and he seems to know his stuff.. when he can explain it clearly. Let's hope his weaknesses go away with experience.

He's quite green, he will probably settle into being a good prof, just not there yet (very nervous).
