Grade Killer. She depends on her notes, and if you use her notes you will not find the answer. dilemma right!

Want talk about software instead of actually writing it then take this class. The book that was chosen for this class had reviews that stated : "Random Words Put Together To Sound Like Sentences", "Not For People Who Actually Write Software". This should tell you something about the class itself.

She goes on tangents, gives unclear directions and expects you to regurgitate what she has on her slides. If you get any information from another source (like another textbook) It's wrong and she'll mark you off for it. Added petty (non-related) requirements over the course of the semester. Choose a different elective.

One of the worst professors I have ever met. She doesn't care about students and all her lectures are boring. It always has to be her way or no way! If you don't accept the answer she gives, and speak to her on it, she takes revenge on her marks. Would NOT recommend her to any student.

The class was good. She has a lot of industry experience, so she gave really good examples for situations relating to the topics covered. 3 assignments(group) and 3 tests...some optional. Lot of extra credit opportunity. She is flexible and helpful too. The class could be a little boring at times.

If you like sitting through PowerPoint briefings every class and listening to stories about "when I worked at SAIC" then you should sign up. Easy class, but SO boring. Don't buy the book, you won't open it. Nice lady, knowlegable in her field - but this class is a waste of time.

Teacher knows her material. The clarity of the material evades her. Be prepared for her own way of grading. Ex. you think you got a C on the test according to her grading scale. At the end she doesnt accept the letter grade and you wind up with 2 grades lower. Which makes your final grade suffer by dropping it 2 letter grades as well.

Agree with 9/8 and 5/14 response. Not a good teacher but knows her field.Has no real answers to anything so you dont know whats good method or not.True...good experience for s/w engineering field but tries to cram years of material into 1 semester.Recommend class for some kind of experience but prepare to be confused and frustrated.

Great class for learning SW Engineering methodology. Taking this class is good if you plan on doing software development. She's very helpful when you need it. Responds to e-mails quickly which is really important when doing the class project. Hard tests, but huge curves at the end.

This class is not as fun as a programming class but this class is very necessary if you plan on working for a big organized company. It might seem hard but it is very generously curved. For the final, the worst grade in the class was a 10 out of 100 and that grade got curved to a C!

Not a real teacher. Has lots of experience from the marketplace, but it is usually biased towards one specific method or another. The worst thing is that on tests there are questions with many interpretations but she only acceps hers.

software testing. busy work, lots of industry standards that she wants to cover in detail but there just isn't time! should cover less material and put more focus to at least get something across to students. reads power point slides all day. zzz

Powerpoint lecture notes were available, so we could focus on learning rather than copying notes as fast as possible. She brought a lot of real life experience and knowledge that other professors at SDSU lack. Be ready for group projects!

Not A good teacher. easy to pass, but you won't learn much. all the notes are in a powerpoint. hard to read, understand. no programming, just 1 access database. knowing Basic would be a plus, but you don't need it. groups of 5. 2 tests, 1 presentation.
