At times interesting, but definately not appealing unless you're 'just like her.' Thankfully I never have to have a class with her again. Too bad her lessons come from such a staunch 'proto-feminist' angle instead of an neutral art angle. Pleasant demeanor, but not very enjoyable & very condescending in her subtle tonality. Pity.

Comment:

Johanna is one of the most intellegent women around. She is a feminist who really knows her stuff. She is helpful, thoughtful, and involved. She really shows that she cares about her students, as well as her life and art. I would recommend her class even if you are not interested in Feminism.

Joanna is a really nice lady, not a professor I would take another class from though. She is far too prone to teaching what she feels over what she knows. That's great if you want to be the next Joanna Frueh, not so good if you want to do anything else.
