This professor is clear in what he expects. There is a lot of oral speeches. I am not a native speaker, but I learned so much by giving the speeches and listening to others. He does want respect in the classroom for everyone. I liked this because it seemed everyone supported each other.

He insults students, SHSU, Texas, and America. According to him, Spain is the only country that is right about everything. Condescending, rude, and not good at teaching. The only thing good about this class is that he cancels class every now and then and rarely teaches the whole hour and 20 minutes. Never take him.

Dr. Rodriguez-Barbera is a good professor. He is clear on what he expects from students, and he is old school, because he holds them to that expectation. Engage yourself in the course and show appreciation for the material and he will reward you with a good grade. He is a nice person too and has an obviously misunderstood sense of humor.

One of the worst spanish teacher's i have had very hard to understand and mumbles and yells at you in class for having the book open to help you. Also he failed me for missing tests because he wont give make ups even if you have a doctors note.

All he does is mumble on about nothing and how everyone is stupid if they dont already know something. He makes you close the book in class even though you may be learning something new. He expects you to already know how to do the work. I would strongly recommend taking another professor.

Dr. Rodriguez-Barbera is difficult to understand if you are not a native spanish speaker bc of his thick accent. He has no problems embarrassing you in front of the entire class. However, outside of class, if you show that you are making an effort, he will help you. I had a hard time, but passed.

AWEFUL! Luckily I had some spanish in high school, because he expects you to already know a lot. IF you don't, the class will be difficult b/c he only reviews, he rarely teaches. Directly insults students. He mumbles a lot. Obviously very bitter. Seems to hate teaching. Avoid him. It will be the worst, and longest semester of your college career!

The class was very easy, but I did NOT learn ANYTHING!!! He only used the board once! All he did was sit down and talk about his experiences in Spain. He seemed very conceited and often insulted people. He was usually 10-20 minutes late to class. This class was a waste of time and a waste of my money!!!
