Dr. West explains the material very well. Sometimes he over tells it. We all know how to convert hours to seconds, dude. He is much better than the other physics 105 professors. He is nit picky on grading, but his quizzes are 3 questions and worth 30 points. Easy to get a high grade on them. Does not have participation or attendance grades.

Very nice. Remembers the students in class who pay attention. Must try in this course. By doing ALL homework, almost guarantees an A. Homework answers can all be found online. Drop two lowest quizzes and lowest test. Gives update of grade throughout course. Good teacher. Passed with an A.

I'm a pretty smart guy and every class I do good in . If you don't study you will do bad I barely studied and got a B minus it was pretty hard . Overall I didn't know which professor was good for physics I just took this guy . Seems generous by trying to give a lot of points but overall pretty difficult course

Very difficult course and Dr. West frankly does not care if you pass or fail. Nice at the end of the semester when a bunch of grades are dropped but barely learned anything in class. Went off-topic often during lectures and labs were not relevant to what we were doing in lecture.

Good professor, makes you do quizzes online really easy shows you a site where you can copy half the answers to the quizzes, do mini labs, work with stellarium on computer, have tests sometimes talks to himself lol. but good teacher i recommend him. learn about stars and planets do some math calculations but not a bad class i recommend it with him

Extremely difficult. Especially for a basic course. He does not go over homework after it is handed back and often goes on tangents. He is too smart for his own good and does not explain things thoroughly. He loves the Raiders. I wish I took biology.

Discussions are sometimes hard to understand because he leaves parts out and doesn't ever solve the problem. I have never taken phyics before and still managed to get an A. He is a great teacher and will help you out with the problems if you go and ask him. VERY GOOD!!!

I like this guy, but not for teaching a difficult subject to beginners! He goes off on tangents, skips steps in examples and leaves a major part of the class in the dust of incomprehension. I work hard in this class, yet end up looking at his tests with no idea how to solve them. It shouldn't be this hard.

he used the online homeword for my class. wasnt bad at all. if you need to take just phy105 take this prof. very easy test grader. not a bad class you can drop ur lowest quiz and test score at the end. PLENTY of bonus. if u cant pass this class drop out of college now!

Obviously the people giving this guy a bad grade aren't going to make it through college. Homework?!?! Heaven forbid, this isn't high school anymore. He describes things well and best of all if you can prove your case on a problem you get it right. I've done it twice and it's the 3rd week of school. And he's not that bad of a juggler.

His lectures are very entertaining, the class time flies by. He has demonstrations like smashing his hand with a hammer. He uses a word document to follow along in his lecture. But we don't have time to read it all and he tells us not to write down stuff?, HOMEWORK SUCKS!, no late work.

I have never had a class where from day one I wanted to drop it until I met Dr. West. DO NOT TAKE WEST. He likes to assign homework and discuss chapters after you take the quiz. Sound funny well he is horrible!
