I thought this was a tough class but Dr. Zayas made it not only bearable but quite interesting. He had lots of videos, news articles, and stories about the topics we discussed. Great teacher. I wish he wasn't retiring because I still have 2 more physics classes to take!

I took Physics 1 and 2 with Dr. Z. Now I am working as a full time mechanical engineer in Mobile, Al. I still remember how helpful this guy was, this is why i decided to write a review. Incredibly smart professor...explain everything crystal clear, and is very helpful (with grades and in class). I HIGHLY recommend him.

I really slacked in this class and walked away with a B. He is very helpful and grades VERY leniently. I recommend him to everyone, whether you are passionate about physics or you're just trying to get through another prerequisite!

DR ZAYAS IS SO AWESOME! I WAS WORRIED ABOUT HIS CLASS BUT NOW THAT I AM ALMOST DONE IT WAS SO EASY! HIS TEST ARE SIMLAIR TO HIS OLD TEST, BUT AS LONG AS YOU PUT SOMETHING DOWN HE WILL GIVE YOU A C. YOU WONT NEED A BOOK HE TEACHS EVERYTHING YOU NEED ON THE BOARD.

Took physics 1 & 2 with Zayas. He definitely knows his stuff, but can get caught up in the arithmetic of 1 problem and spend half the class period solving it. Uses the same tests from previous semesters, with only slight changes. Tests are difficult, but as long as you put something down, he'll give you a C or higher for trying. VIVA ZAYAS!

Yes...this was the best teacher I have had. He inspired me to be an engineer, or at least showed me I had a chance with science. Great teacher and I somehow miss hearing him talk about that little car he had...does he still have the same one? You know that gold/bronze...thing.

Excellent teacher... Grades very leniently, and gives a curve. Is understanding of non-majors. His accent is a bit hard to understand at times, and everything is somehow related to cars? But hey, overall he's a great teacher, and I would highly recommend his class!

One of the best teachers I have ever had. He is very personable and helps the students. He also is very fair with his grading policies, plus you can take notes to the tests! Do not take anyone else but him.

dr. zayas is extremly fair. he understands that 99% of his students in that class are education majors. he understands the difficulty of that class for us education majors. he also grades on a 10 pt curve and allows notes for a his tests. if you are required to take physical science survey, then i highly recommend him.

Dr. Joe Zayas was a inspiration to me academically. If it wasn't for Dr. Zayas and the engineering club I wouldn't be at UF right now. He treats his students with respect by never wasting their time and talking to them like equals. A great teacher... d
