Dr. Evans is great and very knowledgeable. There are 2 exams, a final (noncumulative) and 1 term paper. The exams are super easy since he gives you all the multiple choice questions (with answers) and the short answer questions. All you have to do is memorize the answers. Term paper is 12-15 pages, yet very easy to write. Don't get the textbook!

Dr. Joel Evans is one of the most well-respected professors and professionals I have ever met. He is insightful and if you can see through the coconut shell of his, he is a kind and empathetic individual. He is a great mentor and offers fantastic advice. I would highly recommend this professor.

This class isn't easy like people say. Ridiculous amount of stuff to study for test for him to only choose like 20/100 questions. Paper is hard and he doesn't really explain it

Prof. Evans is such a sweet man. He wrote the textbook! You do not need to buy it though. There's one paper assigned which wasn't horribly difficult, it should be between 12-15 pages, but the paper writes itself. For the tests, it's pure memorization. Just make sure you study. The class is extremely easy and pretty interesting.

Great professor. Gives the exact test questions before the test, so you can study exactly what he is giving. He does give a 12-15 page paper, but it really isn't as bad as it sounds. He gives such a detailed outline of what he wants, so it's just putting in the information. Tests are easy if you study. Lecture notes are always posted on BB.

Not that easy like ppl say. Gives a paper 12-15 pages. Wouldnt bad had he taught what u need on the paper before he makes it due. You are give 100 mc test questions and 25 are on the test and 15 essay questions and 6 are on the test before. However he will choose 25 out of the 100 and something you are give in mc. Need to study alot for test

If you don't get an A in this class please drop out of hofstra he gives you exact test answers . Otherwise learned nothing useful. useless class and marketing is a useless major for dumb unmotivated students. Have fun making 35K a year with a hofstra marketing degree . Not sure how learning textbook definitions teaches you how to market products

one of the best professors i have had so far! he makes going to class interesting, he plays a lot of funny videos and puts all the powerpoints online. he also gives you every possible multiple choice and essay question that would be on the test!!! he requires a 12-15 pg paper but its not that bad once you get started on it. would def take him again

Very entertaining class. Dr Evans is very knowledgeable about the subject matter and highly encourages participation. Can be opinionated at times, but adds for good arguments. Fairly easy course load, and he is a fair grader. No tests, no textbooks, rather he uses trade books instead and requires basically a book report on lessons learned.

Three tests and big term paper (12-15 pages). Gives big review sheets before the exams with all possible questions. HOWEVER, if you are in Honor's College, don't do the Honor's Option with him. Every time I met with him he criticized me and was extremely rude. Pushing me right out of being a Marketing major straight into Accounting. Thanks Dr. E!
