LOVED HIS CHEMISTRY CLASS!!! After taking this class I have debated switching to a chemistry major. He makes you work for your grade and that is what made it all the more enjoyable. You have to be willing to do the practice problems several times. I did very well on his tests and I would accredit it towards doing the book problems 3 times.

Homework is optional but if you don't do it ur guaranteed a fail on the tests. Don't be intimidated by it being an honors course. An A in the class is a 87-100%. His test have 115 pts possible so even if you miss 15 pts you can still get 100%. U dont have to go to class b/c no in class assignments or pop quizzes. A lot of hard work but is doable

It's a pretty hard class. Lots of lecture material, with not too many examples of when and where to use the equations discussed. Practice the homework problems! Very willing to sit with you in office hours and explain things, but sometimes confuses you more. He is a super nice guy, and loves to make jokes which keeps the lectures from being so dry.

Chemistry is hard, very hard, so the class definitely requires a lot of work. But Dr. Adams help sessions are great to attend and he is good with explaining things. IMO he doesn't provide enough practice problems, so that is kind of bad. Content is difficult and he definitely does his job. SOOO HELPFUL!

He is a great guy! He has a lot of passion for chemistry and it shows! He also loves to help his students, so don't be afraid to ask for help. I would recommend going to class because the tergrity videos make me fall asleep and do the homework problems!

Dr. Adams works so well with his students. He understands what we deal with and he makes his class interesting. He is ridiculously smart in his field and he is more than willing to share his knowledge with you. There are plenty of opportunities to get extra help or instruction which are extremely beneficial.

An excellent professor who really cares about his students. The HW isn't mandatory & the tests have an average of 75-80 with an 87 being an A. Attendance isn't mandatory but watching the tegrity videos is very useful. I recommend watching them at 2x speed as Adams speaks a little slow. He doesn't blow off office hours.

If you have taken chemistry previously and done fairly well, this class will be much easier for you than for someone without chemistry experience. As for Dr. Adams, he is pretty boring. He always posts his lectures to tegrity, so not going to class won't hurt you. There is 10 extra credit points on every test and there is no mandatory homework.

I would consider Dr. Adams one of the best teachers in this department. By no means is his class a breeze, but this is because he wants you to take something away from it. If you do the readings and attend class you should be fine. WORK PROBLEMS! The posts about never seeing materiel on the test failed to do enough preparation beyond a HS effort.

his notes in class were 20% of the test. most of the test was math problems he never taught in class or did examples for. I basically had to learn the majority of the stuff for the test on my own.

Lectures moved smoothly, not too slow and kept them relatively upbeat for chemistry. Tests were difficult but not impossible. Was necessary to listen to lecture AND read the book.

I Loved this Adams. He explains everything very thoroughly. He offers review sessions every week and has tegrity, so if you cant make it to class at 8 a.m. you can watch it online. I HATED chemistry before this class and now i enjoy it. If you get the chance to take his class, do it. Trust me there are way worse chemistry professors.
