This was the worst professor that I have ever had. He literally goes off on random tangents that have nothing to do with the material. If your stuck with him I STRONGLY suggest you read the book and take as many PRACTICE tests as possible. His assignments, lectures and office hours are the definition of useless.

Tough class, but Dr. Bagby gave our class a great opportunity. Since we were a class of five, we did the final paper as a class, and he had the final product published and presented, which is a great resume boost. Also has a lively personality which helps make class interesting

Horrible Class. He rambles in class and says things are on his tests that aren't. "The ONLY way for class success is to Do The Readings and Read The Book" If you want help you have to go to Office Hours. 1 project - requires a ton of research and writing. 2 Midterms and a Final. He "brings the grades to you" in the end. Remember ".doc NEVER docx"

Currently taking his class I can honestly say he is the worst professor I've ever had. He goes off on useless tangents every class and tries to make jokes that make no sense. I recently studied for 3 days for his multiple choice exam and am not sure if I got any of them correct. Poor excuse for a class and teacher.

He was the worst professor I have ever had in college. Goes off during his lectures on things not related to the material. One time, he preeched for 45 minutes about nothing to do with the days material in a 50 minute class.

Attendance pin every class. Lectures very difficult to understand -- uses acronyms that you won't understand. 3 main paper/projects (ours were on eHavioral advertising). Midterm and final very, very difficult but curved heavily. Expect to put a lot of time into this class. Helpful during office hours.

Hard class, he talks fast and goes off on tangents. I'm confused about how the grading works but apparently there will be a curve so hopefully my grade will improve!

Extremely boring. Going to class is pointless. Exams are very hard, but are curved greatly. Papers are bad, but if you write 25+ pages you'll get an A. One individual paper and 2 group. Study guide provided for each exam, but guide for final was very inaccurate. Entire class curved heavily.

Do not take him unless necessary! Mandatory weekly homework spans 20 questions with several sections per question PLUS case briefs with teams. Also, tests are incredibly difficult AND the end of the semester project is much more demanding than standard 400-levels. Worst part: Bagby is unwilling to talk to students in need. He's always too busy.

Absurdly difficult and boring as hell. I count at least four people asleep every class; four more surfing the Web on laptops. Bagby tries to be cute in class but there's no way anyone can make this subject exciting. Thought it would be about cybercrime; not so. Individual homework takes 5+ hours, not counting team briefs and Portal project. Avoid.

Boring as hell. The first month was very interesting and I was actually learning a lot, then it happened. Chapter questions are time consuming and there is no real life application taught in this class, therefore its really hard to pay attention. He is also kind of a jerk, the few experiences I have had with him.

I had this class in the cybertorium, and he lets you have the computers up... thats the only thing that got me through this class. His lectures are very boring; he goes way too far in-depth with some things. He had a 100-slide powerpoint just about Insider Trading, and he said he had already slimmed it down! Overall, the class wasn't too hard.

Before taking this class I had very little interest in law, but I left with a firm appreciation for the subject. What more can you ask for out of a class? Dr. Bagby gives very entertaining lectures and bends over backwards to help people out if they need it. You'll definitely learn a lot from him if you give the class a chance.

Not bad, but I expected to learn about technolgies related to cyber foresnics, not just the law. I was glad I had access to laptop in this class, because I was bored out of my mind most of the time.

He is an exlawyer so be prepared to have the majority of things said to go over your head. Nothing is majorly hard if you are decent at BSin tests and essays. On the final I knew literally 1 MC and had no clue on the essay, got like 95s on projects and did poorly on most quizzes. I ended with an A-. Try not to fall asleep....

Okay, he wrote the book. And yes, there is a lot of work to this class, questions due weekly will fill up 2-3 pages single spaced. Exams are detailed, but are doable. The group project isn't all that bad. Class is boring, and I would say that the lectures are not needed if you read the book.

One of the best IST teachers I've had. Very enthusiastic about material. Willing to go above and beyond for a student. Wish there were a hundred more Bagbys in IST.
