I enjoyed this class it was a fun way to learn how to argue. Professor Bass teaches you the right way to argue through a fun and interesting way. He is very nice and always around to help you out. If you have an open mind and want to take a fun not too difficult class this is for you! You need an open mind to be able to take this!!

Thank goodness I had him for Contemporary Fiction because I learned most of the stuff I was supposed to know as an English major. Everyone else is slack compared to him.

Dr. Beard is great. And as for his "quizzes" someone complained about, we didn't have any. Unfortunately, many people who are non-majors and don't care must take the surveys. Many of these people don't care and therefore don't read. Get over it, he has to grade you somehow. I think he is excellent.

If you fail his classes it's because you didn't do the work he assigned. Dr. Beard is very helpful and he expresses his intentions clearly. I did not keep up with the reading assignments and that's why I did poorly. It wasn't an unfair amount to read.

Good guy and always helpful, but be ready to do some heavy reading and writing in this class. His tests are all essays.
