Honestly the worst teacher I have ever had. He names the assignments with the same names, so when you think you've done something you actually haven't and he gives a failing grade. When you try to clear up the confusion he just says you should have understood and that he is rooting for you to still pass the class. No help on anything.

I took this class online and it was horrible. He is an extremely hard grader and nothing seems to satisfy him. If you ask him for help he simply tells you to read the directions again. He required you to attend events that cost money. He did not specify on certain assignments. He never gave you your grade. He was very rude when giving criticism.

I took HUM 150 online...and it was very, very difficult. BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT PLAGIARIZING. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW HIS GUIDELINES FOR COURSEWORK. Otherwise your grade will highly suffer! Ask questions, too. He's helpful, but you should read directions first before asking him, as he tends to repeat the guidelines back to you.

HIS class is for Art or Humanities majors. This class is very hard and he is very hard to please. I am currently taking it on-line. You are only graded by a letter, not points. Grades are not posted regularly. He is big on MLA so you have to know this otherwise he will accuse you of plaigerism. Class started with 24 students and is down to 8.

If you don't possess decent communication skillsn or don't plan to work, he's not for you. He's not a babysitter. Actually one of the most intelligent instructors there, and he is helpful if you really want to learn and not just crank out a half-baked assignment.

Took this as an online course. Very difficult! The workload is at times overwhelming and he is very tough to deal with. Can sometimes come across as rude. You really have to be on top of your work and put in a great effort to do well. He is so big on plagarism that he has turned students in for it. I would only take this if you really have to.

Mr. Bennett has been one of my favorite instructors. Written expression is difficult for me. Prior to Mr. Bennett's class, I always dreaded writing. Mr. Bennett's class was enjoyable, interesting and relevant. He consistently offered to help me and never seemed rushed when I asked him questions after class.

Very difficult to please. Intimidating demeanor. Off the wall humor. Arrogant, aloof to questions & concerns of students. NOTORIOUS for accusing people of plagiarism. His grading brought my GPA down substantially. DON'T take a class with this prof. He should retire. Possibly burned out.

John Bennett is a true teacher and quality professor. The man is full of wisdom, extraordinarily competent in his subject matter, and his vast wealth of knowledge never ceases to amaze me. I enjoyed him as a teacher so much that I asked him to guide me through an independent study. 6 years after graduating from LLC, I still enjoy chatting with him!
