You won't regret taking his class. All you will learn is priceless. He takes time to make sure everybody understands. Many ways of increasing your grade, assignments, reading response, participation and tests. All are different options to improve your grade. He listens your needs, he is great i loved this class.

Pro: The material he teaches is very interesting and good to know. The readings he gives are very easy to comprehend (the length of the readings vary). Final is not cumulative Con: Very boring and long lectures. If you want to get a good grade you need to participate. randomly calls on you if you don't participate. No multiple choice on exams.

I know that everyone here is saying that he's the worst but, honestly, he's a really nice guy. If you don't understand something in lecture or you missed something, he's really good with helping outside of the classroom. Does he talk almost non-stop during lecture? Yes. Does it sometimes get boring? Hell yes. But it's not as hard as people say.

Incredibly boring. The amount of material covered in this class can be learned in one week however he drones on and on and repeats the information many times. If you don't give the exact answer he said in class on the final he'll mark it wrong. Very tough grader. Would never take again

Very good lectures. Pleasure to be in his class. 2 exams and 3 two page papers. Makes you think about democracy and politics. Very passionate about what he teaches. Take him, you wont regret it.

Prof Bowman is a genuinely nice guy though he can be moody. I learned alot in his class, but I was not happy with my final grade. He's a tough grader. I would definitely not take him again because he hurt my gpa and I honestly don't think I deserved it. I worked very hard in his class, and was shocked when I saw my grade.

He's ok. The class is pretty boring. He takes attendance almost every class. Not a lot of work though, 3 reading responses, midterm and a final. He has index cards of everyones names and will call on people randomly.

Read the readings and participate, he will love you! Overall, he's alright, he makes the information clear. Sometimes you will call on you so do the readings. He repeats stuff often, can be boring, but he will answer your questions. He's grades fairly.

Write down what he writes on the board, his tests are pretty much verbatim. 3 essays on readings. Readings are long and he expects that you come in with some information from it or he gets angry. Essays are short 2-3 pages. Not that tough of a grader though. Makes you think, and expects participation. Got an A- which i thought was fair.

He loved wearing sandals with slacks... but his papers are easy and he's a easy grader. The tests were questions from the review sheet so just make sure you studied well. He'll call you out if your on your phone so DONT. and make sure you participate! If he doesn't know your name, the best you'll get is a B.

Intelligent man- u will learn a lot. But, tough grading criteria and assigns several essays including a newspaper essay project. Hard Qs 2 for exams. But if u study & copy all his notes u could do well. Hard class. But I learned a lot... Peeked my interest in Poli Sci Overall really good but u must b a hard worker to pass -more points 4 effort

VERY TOUGH GRADER. Not sure how he grades his test. STUDY STUDY STUDY. Word for word perhaps. His lectures are long and boring. He won't give you points. He calls on you randomly(he has index cards) Many papers to write and a lot to read. I do not recommend.

Don't take Prof. Bowman. You will regret it. He is boring, unclear and a horrible grader. His tests are not easy bc you have to write exactly his word to word definitions. He gives so many written assignments for a 101 intro class. I did really well on written assignments and participated very often but he still screwed me over with a B-.

This professor is so boring, his class sucked. He takes attendance all the time even though at QC attendance should not affect ur grade. He is a very tough grader and I would not recommend his class. He calls on people randomly and is so annoying. I participated a lot and got a B- but I know I deserved better.
