Comment:

Class was time intensive when you factor in the time to watch the movies but the work was very easy. If you enjoy movies and want to learn more about the history of movies then this class is for you. Professor was very approachable and gave great feedback.

Homework takes up a lot of time because you have to watch the movies as well as the lectures, then do blogs, questions, and quizzes. Professor explains things well, though, and the class itself is in depth and interesting. If you think this will be a simple class thought don't take it; it's a lot of work. No textbook, all work online.

If you understand what he is looking for and do the assignments, you will do well. I loved this class and would recommend. There is a bit more work than you might expect, but it is worth it and the teacher provides solid feedback. My best experience with an online class so far.

This professor is a great guy who is truly the best when it comes to film. You will really appreciate this class! Lectures are long and boring at first, although it eventually becomes fun. Tests and quizzes can be pretty hard. Papers and participation are easy as long as you follow information found in lectures and connect it. Class is fun though

During the movies, I pretty much slept because of how boring they are. The lectures were interesting enough to keep me awake, but were nothing special unless he started telling sick jokes and saying the F word. He also sweats a lot, but I think I would too if I was teaching a class of about 90 people.

Pretty funny guy. He tells some funny jokes and tries to keep it interesting. Class, however, is such a bore. When I did actually go to class I always fell asleep... especially during those boring movies! Take this class if you want a nice nap during the day, but not if you are looking for an easy A
