This was my favorite class out of everything I've taken John Dix is hilarious and he gives a lot of open ended prompts that help you to realize the possibilities for your essays. It was not a very difficult course but it was challenging enough to keep it interesting. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

I really liked John Dix! He tells a lot of stories and that gets kind of boring, but he is funny and class is very easy. There are a few papers but they aren't hard at all.

He is a really good professor and very funny. I recommend his class. The only problem is to make sure you keep your papers because he tends to lose them or put it in as a 0 and hand it back. You are able to skip class and still pass with a A as long as you show up each week to at least turn in your work. Very easy class and very easy grading.

Prof. John Dix is one of the best English professors' that I have had. He gives clear and concise directions of what is expected of you. I took this in the evening and he knew that because most of us had day jobs that we may be late and/or not able to make class. As long as you did the work and explained the circumstances he would work with you.

Mr. Dix is a great teacher. He mostly goes off on random tangents and tells funny stories but also gets through the lesson. He made learning fun and I actually wanted to show up for class. He is an easy grader and checks for credit on a few things. He is pretty laid back and wants to make sure you understand the assignment before you leave class.

This guy is pretty cool all around. Yea he mainly goes off powerpoint and just talks all class long but he is very helpful when you need it and is very nice and leniant about work. As long as it gets in at some point before the final you are good. Also he makes a lot of funny jokes throughout the class and makes it very fun.

Mr. Dix was by far my favorite professor/teacher of all time...He truly cares about his students learning and somehow made English an enjoyable class to attend...There is a good amount of writing assignments but he grades almost purely on effort...If you are taking EN097 or 102, I HIGHLY recommend John Dix for your professor :)
