Kilpatrick is one of the greatest professors here at Lewis. He builds a great relationship with his students and treats us like we're his friends. This is also the easiest class I have ever taken, although if you miss more than 3 days, you go down a letter grade. He LOVES helping and answering questions! Love this guy! Easy A!

Can't say enough good things. Absolute terrific teacher and even better person. Knows all there is to know about radio and TV and does all the "work" when things go wrong. No one will have you more prepared for the real world. He demands quality but is right there to assist with work. Can't recommend enough. Perfect gateway into broadcasting world.

I had Kilp for Intro. to TV, and it was such a rush! His class reminded me why I love this industry; you learn by getting up and doing it! His temper can be rough if you're used to being coddled by teachers, but he has good intent: he gives strong criticisms while you're still learning so you develop good habits and squash bad ones before they become recurring. Loved the class; would recommend to anyone serious about the broadcasting industry.

John is one of the most hands on/dedicated teachers i've had. his wealth of knowledge is amazing and if there is something he doesn't know he will figure it, no questions asked. i would recommend him with out a doubt. stand up guy, great person!

He can be funny, but other times, he snaps for the hell of it, especially during news casts. He is too sarcastic.He shows you how to do something, but then expects you to remember it 12 weeks later. My main beef with him was that when I needed his help with something, he seemed he'd rather sit on his phone or computer. He does knows his TV stuff.

John Kilpatrick is one of the best teachers anyone will ever have. Although his class is not easy, the amount of information and help that he will give you is beyond that of any other teacher at lewis. He is always around to help students and always makes sure you understand the concepts of the class. Not only is he a great teacher but he has won multiple emmy awards for his video editing. One of the greatest people i have ever known.
