A very nice man but I found it frustrating when he didn't provide guidelines for his assignments - no idea if you were writing the right thing. His tests are brutal - the TINY details. I've kind of been turned off this course and subject...

John is a FABULOUS prof! I had him for ornithology -- a topic he's passionate about. I learned so much from him, and to this day, whenever I see a bird, I think of him. Great guy, great course! Highly recommend it!
