Professor Rinehart is a well educated man and as an professor in the classroom, he provides enthusiasm, and brings a cadre of information to the group he's teaching with which will help in class. Most importantly, when submitting papers, be sure to have them edited and reviewed for perfection. He cares more about his papers than anything else.

There aren't may test and they are tricky but you need to know your stuff, and it's a genetics class, so there is a lot to remember. His powerpoint really help and he goes over things to help with term and practice problems. He also posts helpful practice problems and things you should know.

He is a good professor, very funny and helpful. What I didn't like was the type of tests he gives. They weren't related to the class theory, and put movie -related situations which was genius and creative, but also very distracting for a test. I didn't received a good grade because I couldn't completely figure them out.

I love biology and love to learn about it. He doesnt go over all the information for the tests. Uses good analogies to college life for info but not saying he teaches clearly. A lot of the time I was too confused by what he had said or had not said to keep up with him. Testsinconsistent with lectures.

Excellent professor, very helpful & knowledgeable in science & biology. Tests can be inconsistent w/lecture material so it's critical to read the textbook & use all other learning resources available; online tutorials, flashcards, etc. I wonder why such a great mind is teaching in a small rural university in Eastern Oregon, he could do better.

I don't think it's cool to rate your teacher as hot or not... I'm just leaving it as "hot" because that's what it started off with. Dr. Rinehart doesn't go over all the information you need to know, and doesn't really say that the stuff from the book will be on the test, he just assumes that you'll read on your own time.

Excellent prof! One of the better lecturers at EOU. Great problems on the exams, really challenging. Homework assignments in Genetics require 20-30 hours per week for only 5-6 problems. Any class taught is highly recommended, as he keeps in the forefront of his field.
