Very nice, has great sense of humor. Fairly clear lectures (take good notes), and grades very easily on in-class quizzes. Tests seem hard, but if you do the practice tests he provides online, a 95-100% is guaranteed!

Good teacher, tells a lot of old-people jokes that are actually pretty funny. Tests are easy if you do the pactice tests. Only need to skim textbook before a test. In-class quizzes are graded liberally.

Hes your typical friendly old guy. Likes to tell jokes in class that arent usually that funny, but it doesn't matter because hes a nice guy and everyone laughs anyways. Grades pretty easily on boardwork and easy to talk to. Overall pretty easy going, good recitation teacher. Highly recommend.

Schmitt definitely had stories to tell. They were always funny, even if it was dry humor, but he was easy going. He has the curliest waviest hair known to man. He is probably the easiest grader ever, I didn't know what I was doing on the midterm or final and got an A on both. Also got an A in the class without having the necessary points.

His teaching style is hard to get used to, but hes a pretty awesome guy. You'll hear lots of stories from him, thats for sure. He likes to ask hard questions sometimes, but he grades fairly easy.

I didn't like Dr. Schmitt. I found him extremely hard to communicate with one on one. He showed absolutely no concern for the students understanding of the material. The topics were very interesting but his lectures were not. He was very rude to me outside of class and totally screwed me out of getting the grade I deserved. Avoid if possible.

This was a very fun and in-depth class. To get an A you must read the book and do the practice tests. I didn't do that so I got a B. Dr. Schmitt is the real thing as far as scientists go and it is always interesting to hear his take on things.

Ok instructor. Has a tendency to get distracted. Reading the book is probably a lot faster way to learn the material but a lot less fun. HW is a joke, its way too easy. Tests, you never know what to expect (from impossible to effortless). Solar model is the hardest part. Nice guy and fair class.
