Comment:

Fantastic teacher, great with communication. He remind us constantly that he did not want us to rush through work or go through motions just to get meet deadlines or get a good grade, rather he wanted all of us to succeed and learn how to apply the material correctly. One of the best educators I've ever had. The work he assigns is time consuming

A good professor that always answer you questions clearly and patiently. His class has participation grade so do not skip it. You will learn a lot from him. Tests are straightforward.

Comment:

One of Sullivan's defining qualities was how fair his tests were (excluding last exam)- if you understood on HW and in class, you'd do well. He frequently brought up outside connections to engineering which made the material seem a lot more relevant. This class took a little work to understand everything, but certainly was doable.

Great professor. Focuses on application instead of boring you with theory. Lectures are helpful, homework isn't too bad. Exams can be difficult but if you understand the concepts you'll be fine. For us he dropped one of the four exams and let you know before the final whether you already had an A or not, and thus whether you needed to take it.

Really nice guy, very approachable, and always willing to help out if you ask. Pretty clear lecturer, but didn't do many problems on the board until the end of the term, so it was tough to really understand the material in the beginning. I feel like I have a solid understanding of the concepts after taking Sullivan's class though

Great professor, very clear and reasonable. Exams were straight forward, if you understood how to do the assigned problems they were an easy A. Focused on real world applications instead of ridiculously complex problems we would never have to solve after graduation. Best professor I have had yet.

The best professor WPI has to offer. He is willing to spend extra time helping you debug code and fully understand the material. Take any class he is teaching even if you are not interested in it because you will end up being interested in it.

Exams were open book open notes open laptop so they were very easy to pass! He was very helpful when we had questions in lab too. And he bought us pizza on the day of the final exam!
