He seems like a great professor. Don't mind the comments of the 3 Series people. They're loaded with lazy bio majors who don't understand the idea of thinking through mathematics.

Hard to follow in lecture. Leture notes often contain mistakes. Very helpful in office hours. Tests are'nt that bad if you do a lot of practice problems. Make sure to do the ones throughout the chapters (he puts those on tests). Nice guy overall if you get to know him. Also, TAs are very helpful during their office hours.

Very hard teacher. I have never in my life been on the virge of failing a class but I am with him. His lectures are beyond confusing. He uses math from calculus 2B (which is not a prereq to 3A) makes it very hard for us who haven't had 2B yet. I studied so hard for his tests and all it did was waist my time. Don't take him if your not a math wiz.

Comment:
mt 1 was fair, mt 2 was ridiculous - wtf was with all the derivations? i understand all the material but the way he asked it on the 2nd mt was very unfair, go to discussion , lecture is useless, do a lot of practice problems from txtbook

I attended every lecture, since I'm studious like that, up until after the first midterm. I realized he just confuses me even more. Just do the homework assignments, and take advantage of the TAs during discussions and if you do those two things... you'll get an A. Average was 34 on MT, true... but the material on it was pretty relevant. He's fair.

Comment:
The lectures (handwritten overhead slides) were messy and confusing.Plus he goes SUPER fast.Makes mistakes in drawings and examples.Only posts notes @ END of the following week- which is kind of pointless since quizzes are the day BEFORE.So UNCLEAR that LARC sessions were waitlisted! TA didn't help-too "busy".Is n't mean but can't teach too.

Really helpful teacher. He can be a little disorganized but he makes up for it in his office hours. His tests are not too tricky, but stuff from lecture, hw, discussion, quizzes, and book are fair game for the tests. Study hard and you'll do good.

Very unorganized. But if you do lots of practice problems, the midterms should be easy. He made our final really, really difficult just because he noticed that the curve for his midterm was so high.

Quite friendly and relaxed. Lectures are a bit disorganized to be prepared to do a lot of studying on your own, and most importantly... DO THE HOMEWORK!! If you can master the HW problems then exams will be a breeze.

Unclear, bad lecture notes. Not even worth going to class. Class is always 1/10 full, or very empty. Nice guy though.
