Hysterical guy, very clear and to the point, improves your writing and analyzing skills throughout the course. Labs are great, no pointless labs for the sake of having a lab. Would definitely suggest him to anyone.

Ecology is a great class for any major, Dr. Lyon is hilarious and clear, to the point man, his labs are informitive and your writing skills will improving over the coarse. I would recomend ecology or Lyon to anyone, and the work load is very manageable

Such a good professor! Probably the best professor I've had so far. He always makes me think more about the topics when I leave class. The class is informal so you can speak your mind because he certainly does.He also is a very good editor and is willing to help you with work outside of class. Took ecology, I would recommend it to everyone.

Dr. Lyon is a great professor!!!! He is extremely helpful when you need help. Definitely makes bio even more fun and interesting than it already is. However, Dr. MacLarens lab that goes with this class is the worst. Dr. Maclaren loves to hear himself talk, and often forgets we have a lab to do. His material does not help at all on the practical

jon is amazing! he has the craziest stories, hes sooo nice, and he knows EVERYTHING there is to know about bio. he really makes the class fun. the study guides are essential...they are EXACTLY whats on the test, so take advantage of that.

Alot of papers but grading is very fair. 4 tests including the final and he gives all the questions that are going to be on it, but make sure you study them! Funniest professor ever, made us laugh everyday and he had great stories! I'd definately take another class with him
