Comment:

I have had Day for multiple classes got A's in all of his classes no thanks to him though. This guy just sucks. He does not care about his students, he calls students names, reads directly from slides and gives absolutely no feedback. Super monotone and boring. He is someone who shouldn't be a teacher. Glad he moved on to better things.

He was a very kind & helpful teacher. I was once behind on an assignment and he gave me extra time and it really saved my grade- couldn't thank him enough for that. I learned a lot in his class and overall was an easy A for me. I'm going into the nursing program so I enjoyed the material & will use it in the future.

I learned nothing in Dr. Day's lectures and by the end of the semester I stopped going because it was pointless. Going to Supplemental Instruction is essential. He is very monotonous, but at least he tries to throw a little humor in there every once in a while. The power points were all mixed up which made it very confusing. Lab was fun, though.

Dr. Day is a great GREAT teacher/professor. He makes things understandable with a bit of humor here and there so it ISN'T boring. Show up, do your homework and attend the SI prior to the tests and you will do well. I enjoy him. You can skip class... but he goes over a lot of testing questions in powerpoint which HELPS!

I'm taking BIO 104 which is physio and let me tell you right now it is not an easy class but Dr. Day does a good job at explaining everything, it's not his fault that the material is tough. If you take this class PAY ATTENTION in lecture, it makes so much more sense then trying to understand it yourself. He is a good prof that is handed tough info

I loved dr days class!!!! I am going to miss it. He gives you review questions and is very in depth on subjects he is passionate about as well as what will be on the test. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Day teaches a demanding course. Work is required to succeed in this class. That being said, it's extremely interesting material and Dr. Day is very willing to help and he makes himself available everyday. I look forward to taking his neurophysiology class.

Prof Day is a good man, but he's not a great teacher. His exams are incredibly hard; I studied for 2 weeks straight & still got a D. I was above the average, though, so once he curved it, I ended up with a B on the exam. If you do your LearnSmart & do well in lab, you'll be okay overall. He's not willing to help, so don't bother with office hours.

Be aware that his Vert. Phys. course involves cuttingkilling live animals and that it therefore may not be a good choice for everyone to take. Otherwise, the course is okay.

Comment:

Anybody who claims that Day doesn't care about student success is the B-/C+ slider who likes being spoonfed exam questions. His exams are very difficult, but the subject matter is very complex. Lectures also require concentration to follow, but it is an upper division class. Drink coffee or take ritalin if you have trouble concentrating.
