Amazing survey of the New Testament from a legit NT scholar. Every student should take this class. It is not an easy A, but you will learn so much and have fun doing it.

Reed has become somewhat of a mentor to me, and I cant imagine what I would have done this year in terms of educational direction without him. His class is the only stimulating class I have taken at La Verne- regardless of what class, make sure you have him as a professor at least once!

I've taken quite a few classes while at La Verne but one of the FEW where I appreciated the challenge and felt that I truly learned was in this class. His passion and knowledge is very profound and he transcends that when he teaches. He is a great professor who makes learing fun and funny at times too.

Who really gets excited about "Survey of the New Testament"? But he makes it a lot of fun with his silly anecdotes. He is an extremely intelligent individual and knows a lot about his subject. There is a great deal of reading from a variety of books. Just make sure you study for the quizzes! Otherwise, he generally wants everyone to get an A or B.

Honestly,Dr. Reed was one of few professors I had during my general education that genuinely made me feel like I was in college. He is demanding, but thought provoking and does not tolerate apathy. And no, I didn't get an A in his class.
