Super boring class. Supposed to be about the medical imagination of France. Ended up being more about French philosophy. Reading intensive (think 30-50 pages assigned Tuesday due Thursday sometimes up to 120 pages). Tests aren't terrible but there's a series of 5 papers that are graded pretty hard.

Very interesting in class with lectures that really make you think. Readings are easy, and you can do well on papers if you go to the French writing center for help. The tests are extremely hard though.

He appears rude in class, but is pretty nice outside of the classroom. He rudely interrupts during student presentations and makes a 15 minute presentation turn into an hour. He was always late (7-10 minutes) to class and would always keep us over. He challenges the mind and is strict on grammar, but I've improved my writing skills. Be prepared!

His classes are always what college should be. They really make you think and force you to expand all of your language skills to get along. He's really nice, interested in students' personal welfare, has a beautiful accent, and is cute in a Patrick Swayze/Harrison Ford-ish way.
