As a non-math kinda person, I was terrified of this class. If you need MS 2040 Take him! Provided you can get over the corny jokes, it's actually a fun class. The homework helps you learn the material and if you're having trouble with clarity, he is always willing to provide supplemental instruction during his office hours. Awesome instructor!!

Comment:

One of the best professors Wright State has to offer. I really enjoyed this class and Coleman is a great guy all around. Jokes are corny but they are intended to be that way to help break up the mediocrity of the subject material. If you need stats then take him, you won't be disappointed.

Comment:

Coleman is a good professor and his exams have no tricks and are very straight forward. Some of his jokes about students can come off as condescending but I don’t think he means it that way. Recommended.

Professor Coleman is an interesting guy to say the least but I mean that in a good way. He tells jokes a lot, most of which are lame, but im pretty sure he is aware of this. He is pretty laid back. He has the tendency to ramble but it actually helps and make sthe class a bit interesting. Not easy to do in a 6:05-9:25 block. Pretty good professor

Dr. Coleman is an entertaining and engaging professor and he sounds similar to Gilbert Gottfried. Presents material step-by-step during lectures -- so take detailed notes. The practice test he post online are similar to his exams. Grades hard but curves generously.

Dr. Coleman is a great guy! The class was easy, which I was not expecting. You got to use a sheet with all of the formulas on the tests. The best thing about the course was that you got to drop one test grade. If you are satisfied with your grade at the end of the quarter, you don't have to take the final exam. No complaints!

He is amazing. If you must take statistics, take it from Dr. Coleman. He tells corny jokes, but what do you expect from a statistician? The important thing is that he approaches a "hateful" topic in a fun way and does a very good job of getting difficult concepts broken down into terms that we can understand. He is top-notch!!

Great Professor! He says corny jokes a lot, but some are kinda funny. This man loves what he does and is very helpful if you have trouble understanding. not too much homework for a math class, and if you can do the practice tests that are on his website you'll do fine on the tests. He also drops your lowest test. I suggest attending all classes.

Not a bad teacher at all. He collects h/w before each test. If you know how to do the h/w you will do fine on the test. There's also practice tests on his website. He will give 10 extremely easy quiz's through out the quarter as participation/quiz's. Also, on both of our tests he gave us a 10 point curve. I would encourage to take his class.

Great professor. Goes over all topics extremely well. Focuses a lot on the theory, and less on the application during class. The homework is for learning the application. 2 tests and a final. Lowest test/final grade gets dropped. Would recommend him to anyone. Top of the line professor, despite his corny jokes

Dr. Coleman is very nice, he trys to tell jokes but they usually aren't funny. I though his class was very easy, it's really just a math class and every test you get a crib sheet with all the equations on it so you don't have to memorize them. It's crazy easy. He curves the tests and drops your lowest grade on one of them so take him.
