Good thing is his grading policy. Discussions, outlines, midterm, final, research paper are ALL worth 20% each. Outlines are basically in-depth summaries of the chapters. He wants 6+ pages each chapter and does not grade them all. Midterm is a book report or writing about topic you discuss with him first. Does not reply to emails fast, call is best

the course was ok but one of the biggest turn off with this professor is that he likes playing favoritism. That alone encouraged many students to dropped him very quickly because they really disliked him for that.

Easy class the only thing is you have to call him to get information. Class is very easy though do the work and you will pass. Dont miss any assignments, very simple. For the project you have to do a book report approved by professor. Very simple though if you do the work you will pass, professor is very fair grader.

Hes very opinionated and at first I wasnt sure but trust me when I say hes one of the best teachers Ive ever had. He is so kind and understanding. He gives outlines and has a very clear expectation. He explains things in a relatable way and is super funny. Class is always participating and interested. Loved this class 10/10

This class was a easy A. Just do chapter outlines and take easy tests. Pretty much the whole class got a good grade. He loves when students do extensive chapter work and participate for the first 10 to 20 of the course.

Do the outlines, study a little, and do the assigned summary's of newspaper articles and you will do fine in this class. The worst part about this professor is he is extremely unorganized and gives tests towards the end of the semester. However, he grades based on a huge curve and outlines are 20-30% of the grade which he also gives extra points.

You are responsible for weekly discussions that aren't graded until the course is over. You only have 2 papers so it is important to give them your all. He makes you do weekly summarys on chapters assigned. He LOVES when you write a lot. He is very caring and if you have a problem can just call his secretary. I found his class to be overall good.

One of the best professors I've ever had. He can be a little disorganized, but he really knows what he is teaching. The exams are mostly from notes, prepare to take a LOT of notes. There is a group project, not hard. A portfolio, start doing it way before the due date. There's 3-4 outlines per exam (worst part, but worth it). I'd take him again!

He is a nice professor. I had two classes with him, Advertising and International marketing which I love it. You have like two big projects for the class but you have enough time to do it. Participation in class is a plus, he will take you in consideration if you do so. In advertising is no homework but 4 international MKTis one every week.

Really cool prof. I had him for advertising and the first half of class would be spent talking about current world events and viewpoints, really nothing to do with adv. Then we'd get to the few short notes. There's mandatory outlines for two tests, one group project and the tests are pretty hard but you're guaranteed at least a B for the class.

He's a really nice guy yet very disorganized. Shows up late, if it is snowing he won't show up to class. Test are kind of hard, they are 80 questions BUT, he makes you write a study guide that adds an extra 20-25 points. I heard he's tough in other classes but for 107 MRK, no homework, one assignment, two tests. Recommend, he's funny.

shows up 10-20 minutes late every class. the big group project for his marketing advertising class is soooo much work so be prepared. he curses a lot and kinda has a prude sense of humor. Mostly guys take this class and i was one of the only girls so be prepared for him to pick on you if your a girl

This professor instructions are most of the time confusing and even though he welcomes you to call him if you have concerns he leaves a number for you to call and he does't call back. Most of the time you are left in the dark the whole class and hope the work you are doing is correct.

Professor DeFilippe is an excellent educator! He explains the material in an interesting insightful way. He's funny also and makes the 4 hours go by. I sincerely enjoyed the class and learned a lot about Marketing Management. He's very friendly, helpful and easy going. Definitely take a marketing class with Professor DeFilippe.

Comment:

Quizzes were off the text publisher's website. You could take them as many times as you wanted to get 100%. My only issue is that I was taking an ONLINE course, so I expected to do everything via the internet - not needing to call him personally to get instructions and VITAL information about the final project. Final was an in depth book report.
