I had Joseph for PCAD I and II, hand drafting, and scenography. At first I really hated him, but once I got to know him and I wasn't going blind doing hand drafting anymore, I realized he is really passionate and will definitely help you if you need it. He's really clear on assignments, but get ready to do a lot of design presentations.

Saying that stage managers will fail is silly. You don't have to be a designer to memorize slides. This class doesn't require a lot of work, but DOES require LOTS of studying and memorizing. You'll take three tests, four quizzes, and do a group presentation project. He emails you the slides, print them out and glue them to note cards to study.

Designers, prepare for an enjoyable class. Stage Managers, prepare to fail. I loved this class and treated as an addition to ARH 2051. Use flash cards to study and pay attention in class. Joseph breaks it down and keeps it simple. Be prepared to memorize over 300 images per test, just like art history!

Easy class. Went every day for mandatory attendance, listened to his lectures and watched bad ass films about Cirque's around the world, took a tour of the UCF theater, saw a couple of plays, and took a Vocab test for a final.

Great teacher. Don't bother with the books. The plays you can find in the library or online. Just go to class and take good notes, this will get you an A. Class was very enjoyable and I'm not a big theater fan. Rusnock was very knowledgeable and his passion for theater enhanced the class greatly.

this is the most boring class. the good thing is you watch movies a lot. the midterms are tricky because he words the questions in such a way that you have to pick the opposite answer of what you think. its just a waste of time. unless your interested in theatre then dont take it. take cinema survey. its a lot of useless info

This teacher never knew my name the whole 6 weeks of summer. I barely went to class. He gave a lot of notes and its impossible to pass the mid term and final unless u memorize the book. Oh yea, the books cost around 200$$$ so yea...pretty much its an easy class but its also expensive. He also never answered the email I sent him.

Awesome class! He was very enthusiastic about theatre. You are required to buy a lot of books?I never read the plays we were required to buy but I did use the textbook. The class is really laid back but there are a lot of notes. Overall he was a great professor.

Very Nice Guy!! He really has a passion for theatre, and he passes it along to his students. He is a really good teacher and will help out anyone that needs it. You have to write a few papers but there easy and they help your grade alot. There is alot of reading, but the material is pretty interesting.

Sceneography was fun, two plays are indeed better than one even with the insane amount of work that ensues with that. Don't procrastinate, you cannot do a design over night. Do indeed plan it all out and you'll be fine.

Ok, I don't know why nobody else in my class has commented on how CRAZY our class was...he like tought like 1/100 of the information in the book...then he didn't tell us what he was testing us on and we had to literally MEMORIZE the whole book to pass the tests. If we didn't have projects everybody would have FAILED..we were ACTORS not techies!

There was SO much information and he taught it rather quickly, and mostly through powerpoints. Reading the book is vital, but he never stressed how important it was until 3 days before the final. He knows SO much about technical theatre, but doesn't necessarily know how to teach it to his students.

Most of this class is lecture. Personally it was easier for to just read the book because the lectures got boring. As long as you read and do the projects you can do well in this class. Plus this instructer is a nice guy and trys hard to engage the class.

What a passionate, nice, helpful person! Sure, the COURSE requires lots of outside theatrical commitment, but this a teacher you will want to do good work for. Just all around a fun person to go to class for.

Rusnock has a STRONG passion for theatre! He can REALLY ramble on. I got an A in the class but it was boring. I did enjoy seeing the shows however. This class takes up a lot of outside time. If you ahve a full time job I would not recommend it. He also grades A, A- which is ridiculous for a theatre class with this much work.only one test, the final

Very nice guy, but EXTREMELY passionate about theater. He grades everything easily, but he assigns way to many projects that consume your time out of class. He's great if you're a theater major, but otherwise, this class can be a lot of unnecessary work. I spent more TIME on this class than calc and chem combined!
