Dr Holmstrom is a nice enough person but when it comes to being a professor for undergrads his standards are extremely high. You would be better off taking your chances with general physics course than trying to get through this one. The exams are your only grades, he hardly curves, his doesn't answer emails regularly, and the tests are hard.

Dr. Holmstrom is an engaging professor but he is very absent minded and gets distracted easily. I felt as though i never really learned anything from his class. There were also no grades besides the tests which were extremely hard and no matter how many times i emailed him, he rarely responded.

His classes are tough. First of all, he has the most difficult level classes to teach. However, he uses books that are a step above other professors in courses. I received only B's in the two upper level courses with an A in math. I may sound like I'm complaining. However, the difficulty of his courses has set me to the top of my class in grad sch

Great professor for a difficult subject! He is willing to help you and go out of his way to do so. He is very fair. Quizzes are HARD but make you stay on top of the material. Do the suggested problems and GO IN FOR HELP! You have to work for your grade.

Dr. Holmstrom is a great professor. This class is pretty hard, but if you need help, he will help you. The weekly quizzes totally suck, and they are hard, but they are great preparation for the MCAT. He does come across as an a**hole at first, but once you get to know him he is really cool. He ended up being one of my favorite professors.

I had him for both Physics I & II and he really helped me understand the material. I had to go in extra hours throughout the week because Physics is a genuinely hard subject, but if you're willing to work, you can get an A. I did.

I'm a senior in this class, and this is by far the WORST class I've ever taken in college. He's a real jerk!He mocks his students in class, and if you ask a question he'll come back with a smart ass comment or just makes fun of you.I felt like this was a teach yourself physics course. It was such a patehtic excuse for a class I ended up with a D!

Dr. Holmstrom is a fair and knowledgeable teacher. The material is difficult, but he is willing to help anyone. The course was moderately hard, but Dr. Holmstrom also made it fun with lots of experiments.

Definitely not as bad as that person said...He's pretty challenging, but he's fun to be around and very willing to help you if you'll ask him. He is kind of an ass, but in an easy going/sarcastic way.

DO NOT TAKE ANY OF THIS MAN'S CLASSES! He is a little **** who shouldn't be teaching. He is totally unclear and will make you feel like a moron if you ask a question. By far, my worst class at college, and that's saying a lot, b/c i've had bad ones.
