Comment:

Professor Strains class was boring but an easy A. She marked 4 questions, 8 points, on my exam wrong that were right and when I talked to her she only added 1.7 points back to my grade. Not my favorite.

Comment:

Dr. Strains BIO101 class was great. She doesnt make you waste money on a textbook, gives you all of the exam information during lectures, and puts study guides on D2L that are WORD FOR WORD what will be on the exam. Lots of easy in class assignments & quizzes plus she drops your lowest exam + only keeps a few of your highest daily grades. Easy A.

This is by far the easiest college biology course there is to take. I studied an average amount for the exams and got A's on all of them. She offers a good amount of extra credit. Anyone who had an A in the course before the final did not have to take the final exam. If you need a science, take this course.

Comment:

Professor Strain is an average professor. If you skip her class, youll definitely lose a lot of points and wont know whats going on. The slides she post on d2l are only halfway filled out so make sure to go to class to get the notes. There are lots of exams and quizzes but she drops your lowest test grade and lowest quizzes/assignments.

Tons of bonus. Drops the lowest exam score and some quizzes. Not a Bio major, but it might have been one of the easiest courses I have ever taken. If you need to take a science class then take this one. She is also super nice.

She teaches you like youre in a high school bio class, but then tests you like youre in a AP Bio course. If you miss a bunch of questions on an exam she automatically assumes that youre cheating. She took an extra week off for spring break, and still gave my section the midterm, where she was not there to ask questions or provide help.

The easiest college course I have ever taken. If you cannot pass this class you are probably either lazy or not suitable to complete college. She is very nice. Gives out extra credit in class. Also provided a study guide for every test that told you exactly what would be on it. Very easy class, but I feel like I learned a thing or two.

Was absolutely horrified to take a college level biology class. This was the easiest science class I have taken (even counting high school). Gives extra credit. Very exam heavy but exams do not cover much material. She gives out 7 exams on the semester, but they typically cover 2 chapters. She made biology a breeze. A middle schooler could pass

She is a great professor and very nice. On the test make sure for the written part you write the definitions down exactly how she words them in class. Do not study the day before a test, give it 3 days before at least and you'll pass. Test are kinda hard so study like I said. Also she gives extra credit on each test and drops the lowest test grade.

Oh Joy, her name kind of fits the class. I had her for an 8am and it was not bad at all. She gives tons of bonus opportunities. She is super sweet and has bearable lectures. As long as you show up to class and takes notes you will get an A no problem. All the info on her tests she goes over in class.

I am not a bio major and didn't do well in bio in high school. If you cant get an in her intro to BIO class you need to drop out. She gives you a lot of extra credit and a study guide for every test. Test information is completely covered in the study guide. Easiest most straightforward class I have ever had. Easy A.

I'm definitely not a science-guy, but I was able to get an A in the course and not have to take the final. Classes are easy, attendance doesn't really matter unless there is an exam or a worksheet. Gives out extra credit before exams.

Wonderful teacher, had her for my 8 am class, by far the best morning class ever taken. Loads of opportunities to get bonus points for exams. Go to class, take notes and listen to her and you will pass! If you can take her course, do so!

Very understanding and super helpful. Print out the slides and right notes as your go; it's pointless not to. Take notes on EVERYTHING she says, ALWAYS come to class even if it's not mandatory, and study for the tests days in advance. If you do this, you'll get an easy A; I passed with a 106%. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK -

Nice woman, caring and easy to understand. Didn't use the book at all, got an A. Just study everything she says and youll do good write everything down. Pretty easy doesn't take attendance but sometimes gives bonus only to people in class and it really helps on exams so GO! you don't have to take the final if you have an A. She explains things good

This class is so insultingly simple, you could pass it as a 7th grader. Honestly, you don't need the book if you remember quite a bit from your high school biology class. She is also quite the boring speaker and not the most intelligent person. However, she does seem nice and tells jokes every now and then.

Absolutely loved this professor! She keeps the class upbeat and interesting. She is such a sweet lady. She does not take attendance but there is group work about once every other week which takes place of attendance. Don't buy the text book I never opened it. Test questions are right out of her powerpoint slides! Highly recommend taking her!
