This class is a great way to open your eyes about education. Juan Miguel had a lot of energy for an older man but still manages to preach his beliefs. I learned a lot from him and would recommend taking his teaching for critical thinking class. Oh yeah, you grade yourself at the end.

Juan Miguel is a great guy and your grade is a self-assessment. Unfortunately, he, just like almost everyone else in the MSU Education Dept, lives in a fantasy world. His beliefs (and the beliefs of MSU) are not effective in our politically-dominated system of education- they need a reality check.

Juan Miguel gets you to think about the strengths and weaknesses in your beliefs. He challenges you to think outside the box. I enjoy our class discussions and look forward to them. Hard to do for night Grad School students. GREAT!!

I had him for Critical Thinking...the best professor here at MSU. He knows his stuff! He challenges you to think! And...you give yourself a grade. It's tougher than you think to do that, but I recommend his class to everyone! Amazing! Entertaining!

Nobody drops this class, for you grade yourself. Grading yourself is not as easy as it sounds, if you are a person of principle. He really gets you thinking. More stressful than it should have been.
